The one where I feel honored and talk about songs and travels and movies and blogging and some other stuff.

Hallo meine Lieben,

a while ago my wonderful friend Chrissy from The Brave Wanderer (go check her out if you haven't already, she is fabulous) surprised me by giving me an award. And I felt so honored because it always gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling when somebody actually likes my weird blog.
Chrissy, thank you again for nominating me! It means so much! I am happy to be able to call you a friend. Sorry it took me a couple of days to post this!

Friends rule.

What is your favorite song?

Oh, there are so many! "New Noise" by Refused, "Tattva" by Kula Shaker, "Funny little frog" by Belle & Sebastian, "Electricity" by Suede, "Park Life" by Blur, "Whatever" by Oasis, "Was hat dich bloss so ruiniert" by Die Sterne, " Ich bin ganz sicher schon mal hiergewesen" by Tocotronic, "I don't care as long as you sing" by Beatsteaks, "The bartender and the thief" by Stereophonics, "Motorcycle Emptiness" by Manic Street Preachers, "Apply some pressure" by Maximo Park, "About a girl" by Nirvana, "Munich" by Editors, "Kung Fu" by Ash, "Svefn-g-englar" by Sigur Rós, "No you girls" by Franz Ferdinand, "Hysteria" by Muse, "3 libras" by A Perfect Circle....Oh and, classical music. I like music.

Where would you like to travel if you could go anywhere?

Pretty much anywhere but on top of my list are Iceland, Ireland, Christmas Island, India, New Zealand, Sweden, Estonia.

Do you regret something in your past?

Yes, trusting some non-trustworthy people.

What is your favorite time of the day and why?

Late evening because it is the most relaxing time of the day and usually the time I cuddle with my furry family members, read a book, eat a snack and watch a movie/show. Also I like getting up early on the weekends when everybody else is still asleep because it is so quiet.

Do you have a secret wish?

Of course I have.

We all have a movie we could watch over and over - which one is yours?

The Boondock Saints, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Napoleon Dynamite, Reality Bites, Before Sunrise, Bienvenue chez les Ch'Tis, Wayne's World, Dodgeball, Love Actually, The Holiday, Harry Potter, Star Wars, From Dusk Till Dawn, School of Rock, High Fidelity, The Sword In The Stone.

Is there a craft you would like to learn?

Yes, knitting and sewing. But I would like to learn all crafts to be honest. I like crafts.

Road trip, air travel or by train?

Road trip. Or by train. Not a fan of flying. Trains are my favorite I would say.

Camping or hotel?

Hotel. I don't think I am the born camper. One or two nights are fine but I always get so cold, even in summer.

When did you start blogging and why?

Almost 3 years ago. I started reading blogs a couple of months before and I loved it so much that I started my own. Never regretted it. I have met so many wonderful people because of my blog.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

Living in an quirky cottage with my loved ones and lots of animals, running an animal sanctuary, having a job I truly love, reading lots of books. And having my own library.

This was fun! Thanks again to Chrissy for the honor! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Maybe you want to answer Chrissy's questions as well. I would love to read what you have to say!

  1. I've seen almost all the movies you've listed, though I wouldn't say I would watch them again, but wayne's world and harry potter, I wouldn't might watching agian.

I'm going answer one question because I'm too lazy to type and it's too cold to move.

    - When did you start blogging and why?
I have almost the same answer as you but I started blogging in maybe 2006, I don't really have much memories of those first few weeks of blogging, I believe I was just as bad and randomly post with no schedule or any purpose - just like now. It's just too bad that some of my favorite bloggers stopped blogging, I suppose not everyone is like me, I could never quit blogging unless I don't have a computer or internet service, otherwise, I'll probably do it forever.

hope you have a lovely day.

    1. Wayne's World is so funny, I don't even know how many times I have watched it. I guess it is time to see it again at some point. :) And Harry Potter is always a good idea!.

Oh wow, you started blogging a long time ago! That is very impressive! I love blogging because I have met so many lovely people. I don't know if I would stop. I am not as active at the moment but I would not want to miss it at all!

      Have a lovely day!

India is definitely on my list and I would love to meet you! I hope that it's possible someday!
There is just not enough space in a plane, it is so uncomfortable. Trains are so much better!

    1. Yeah, those awards really are a lot of fun. Interesting that you find Love Actually depressing. :) Why is that? I always enjoy watching it around Christmas time. Sure it has some sad moments but overall I find it enjoyable. I don't think there is anything wrong with me. I often don't like stuff that others love a lot. :)

    2. LOL, I just don't know ANYONE who dislikes the movie as much as I do.. Maybe I need to rewatch it? I dunno.. lol..

    3. Maybe you need to give it another chance. :) I really enjoy watching it at least once a year. :)

  6. Wow, you have very diverse taste in music!!

These are some good questions :)

I think New Zealand is currently on the top of my list, but it's so expensive, so I'll keep hitting up Europe for the time being. I didn't really like Sweden, but I am sure there are some emotional reasons behind that.

I am all about train travel, I want to do some of the 'great' journeys like the orient express!

    1. Chrissy really came up with some good questions!

I always loved music but I guess I cannot commit to just one genre. I do love "handmade" music, lots of Indie, Alternative, Britpop...

I won't travel to New Zealand anytime soon either. :) But hopefully someday! It would be so fascinating. I always loved Sweden, I picture living in one of those red little houses by a lake. I think my mom always loved the idea as well. So yeah, emotional reasons. :)

The orient express would be so cool! My dad is a huge fan of trains, he knows them all. I also love the "Inlandsbanan".

  9. Aw, I totally missed this! Sorry, I haven't had as much time to read blogs! But I am trying to catch up! Thank you for the sweet shout out and for playing along! I love your answers - totally guilty of trusting the wrong people as well! Love the movies you chose - I know it's hard to just pick one! Hope your week was off to a good start and all is well in your neck of the woods.

  14. I remember Tattva!!! (It's now repeating in my head.....) I didn't think anyone else knew that song! Also I'm writing this while in my pyjamas at 7:30 on a Saturday morning while everyone else in the house (i.e. husband and three cats) are sleeping soundly....
Also I'm looking forward to visiting your library and helping take care of the animals in the sanctuary! That's basically my plan for if I ever win the lottery. Lots of retired racehorses and greyhounds! (Can you add Canada to your list?? I'd love to hang out with you in person! Plus it's nice here, I promise. Lots of great things to do, beautiful scenery and vegan-friendly food!)

    1. Oh wow, so cool that you know Kula Shaker as well! I love that band very much. I went to one of their concerts a long time ago and it was such a cool experience. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who gets up before everybody else does on the weekends. :) I love when everything is so quiet! And of course you need to come and visit the library and meet all the rescued animals. Or even better, you can move in next door? How fantastic would that be? I cannot believe I did not mention Canada on my list. Of course I will change that. I want to hang out with you! So please, let's become neighbors, okay? My dad wants to visit Canada as well by the way. He has always been fascinated by the country!
