it's Thursday already which means that you can link up with Lin, Em and me for another Random Thursday.
This weekend we celebrate American Father's Day. I don't know about the other countries but German Father's Day was in May. I have no idea why they celebrate it on different days...Mother's Day is always the same. Here are my favorite things about the dads I met in my life....
- they always have an answer. Mostly good ones.
- they can teach you how to change the tires of your car.
- they know everything about soccer.
- they are always there for you.
- they know how much you love books and that is why you always get books as a gift.
- they have all the tools if you need to fix something.
- they always have some advice, no matter if you want to hear it or not.
- they go on your nerves sometimes but you know that you can count on them.
What's your favorite thing about dads? Please share.
Hi Katrin
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the points given above. Another thing is that most fathers want their daughters to become bold and independent unlike most mothers who want them to be somewhat homely and a bit coy.
:)
Hey Ankita! I guess my mother was an exception, you always made sure that I was very independent! :)
DeleteHave a good weekend!
agree to all the points. my dad might not be the one with much words, but whenever i have problems, he always solves them. i know that no matter what, i can rely on him. love this post, Katrin.
ReplyDeleteYour dad sounds fantastic! Sometimes you do not need many words!
DeleteI love all the points. My father spoilt me and always let me do stuff.
ReplyDeleteI owe my confidence him♡
Your father sounds fantastic. :) My dad always spoiled me as well. :)
DeleteFather's Day here is on the same day as America's, but Mother's Day was different. That's so confusing - why can't we all just decide on the same day, like at Christmas? :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about my dad is his laugh. He has a crazy sense of humor and is so much fun to be around. I can't WAIT to see him in a few weeks!
That's so weird! Why can't they just have it on the same day? It confuses me!
DeleteHaha, your dad sounds like a lot of fun! :) I love it when people have a crazy sense of humor! So great that you will see him soon! Enjoy that!
These are awesome points, I need to get mine posted..
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Natalie! And thank you for always linking up! You are so sweet!
DeleteThank you for your heartfelt comments, you’ve no idea how much pain I’ve been through. How interesting that Father’s Day was in May, which month did you prefer to celebrate, May or June? You’ve got a brilliant dad - soccer fan?! My dad and I have absolutely nothing in common, but he is a pretty intelligent engineer and loves to try all sorts of food. Are you watching the World Cup at the moment? Italy has been doing well so far.
ReplyDeleteRika, I am so sorry that you have to go through all that pain! I hope you know that I am thinking of you and sending lots of love and hugs. I wish there would be more I could do!
DeleteI just celebrate Father's Day twice. Haha. Well, my Dad never really cared much about it. Plus in Germany Father's Day is more a day which only the dads celebrate together. :) Without women.
Your dad sounds great too. Sorry you do not have that much in common! But at least he loves to try all sorts of food. My dad does not at all. He also does not like to read, I definitely got these things from my mom.
Yes, I try to watch a bit of the World Cup. Today is Germany's first game!
