happy Tuesday! I hope you are all doing great! You can link up with lovely Alyssa here. Send her lots of love, please.
1. A seal who gets his belly rubbed. How adorable is this?
2. You can find an infographic about the Canadian seal hunt here. You can find some interesting facts about this horrible practice which needs to end. The baby seals (who are mostly younger than 3 months old) get killed for their fur. More than 2 million in the last 12 years. A lot of countries have banned the trade in seal products. I hope Canada will follow. Now.
3. My friend Bevchen reminded me of the Famous Five which I forgot to mention in this post. How could I forget about them? I loved the books and the show! But I am not sure if they were American-famous too or just European famous.
4. Still don't get that nobody in America knows Take That.
5. I really wish I could find some coconut milk cookie dough ice cream. I am thinking about that for a couple of days now. It drives me insane.
6. I seriously want to have a room like this. Just add a fireplace and an old armchair and a globe bar.
7. I would be okay with this one as well.
8. I did not win the lottery last week. Surprise. But I am not giving up. If I ever win then I will get a library and a place for an animal sanctuary.
9. The to-be-read pile of books makes me happy when I look at it. Then it makes me sad that I don't have the time to read as much as I would love to. I really need to be a ghost and some point and spend eternity in a library. Together with my animal friends of course. Sounds pretty good to me.
10. My cat likes to lick my hair.
Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh, that video is awesome. I want to rub a seal belly, too :) So adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe seal hunt drives me insane though :( Unbelievable. It needs to stop rather yesterday than tomorrow (I know that doesn't make sense but the hunts don't either!).
I'm right there with you - can't believe America doesn't know Take That :)
Do you think you can make that ice-cream yourself? Ice-cream cravings are impossible to ignore!
I want bookshelves like that, too. So awesome!
Your cat is so cute, Molli licked my hair only once, I think he got frustrated with the length ;)
Ich drücke Dich gaaaaanz feste, liebste Katrin :)
Hehe yeah, I would love to do so too!
DeleteI really can't understand how people can do things like that and live with it. Horrible! The hunt needs to stop!
America is really missing out because of Take That!
I don't know if I could make it myself...But I made some banana "ice cream"...It's not really ice cream but close. You freeze a banana, then put it in the mixer, add peanut butter and almond milk and then you have some ice cream like stuff. It is pretty good!
Haha, I am sure that is why Molli did it! :)
Ich drueck Dich ganz ganz dolle, Liebes! <3
My to read pile just keeps growing this year but I'm definitely not complaining about it!
ReplyDeleteI never want to run out of books to read. :)
DeleteI'll be a ghost with you and just read, I am actually *seriously* thinking about spending next Christmas and the start of January in a little hut in the foothills of the Himalayas with just books and nature for three weeks.
ReplyDeleteWe would have a fun time a ghosts. And I love your idea, I have thought about something similar too! I would love to rent a cabin in the woods and just stay there and read and enjoy the nature!
DeleteOh wow, number 6. That's what I want my library to look like!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be awesome!?
Delete1. cute!
ReplyDelete6-7. Would I be able to visit?
8. similar plans as I have if I ever won the lottery
9. same here
10. my dog licks my feet
Of course, you are always welcome in my library! :)
DeleteHaha I love that your dog licks your feet!
That room with the spiral staircase and library is awesome. I would love to have a library in my home someday. And I watched a documentary once on seal hunting when I was younger and it made me sick for days. Such a cruel cruel practice. I don't know how those people can live with themselves...
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be awesome to live at a place with your own library!? That's the dream!
DeleteThe seal hunt is so cruel and horrible. And unnecessary! I really have no idea how the hunters can live with themselves. And how people can buy fur coats!
Blogger ate my comment again. Going to try by using my google account instead of URL...
ReplyDeleteI never got why Take That never took off here either but I still love them and so do my girls now. I love getting in the car and one of them requesting to put in the Take That cd and then sings along! Makes me proud! 😀
I really have no idea what is wrong with Blogger! I am so sorry!
DeleteThat is so cool about your girls! I love that they got the love for Take That from you! Love them!
Grew up on Blyton's books.
ReplyDeletePeople don't believe when I tell them I borrowed my friend's daughter's Famous Five LAST MONTH.
The books really are fantastic! Still love to read them! I love that your borrowed the books last month! :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by! <3
Seals are so adorable! I hate that anyone would kill them. Those libraries are awesome--I could totally spend a day (or two or three) curled up there!
ReplyDeleteI will never understand how people are capable to do something cruel like that. It needs to stop!
DeleteAnd yes, I would love to spend a loooot of time in these libraries! :)
It’s depressing that these gorgeous creatures especially so young get killed for their skin. Thank you for spreading the words, I want all countries to ban the fur trade! Speaking of coconut milk cookie dough ice cream, there is one: http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/products/coconut-milk-frozen-desserts/cookie-dough, hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand how people are able to do something cruel like that. And don't the people who wear these coats think? It is terrible!
DeleteOh, I have tried that ice cream before! It is sooooo good! Thank you!
