happy November! I hope you are all doing great! As many of you might know: I love books. And I own many books. Which is why I also own many book shelves. Not enough though which is why I seriously consider building my own book shelf. I love a good challenge so why not. Here are some great book shelf ideas I adore.
Library book shelf.
Simple but good.
Book shelf staircase
Tree book case.
Up in the air.
Rock book case.
Labyrinth book shelf.
Speech bubble book shelf.
Racetrack book shelf.
Another staircase book shelf. I really like the idea.
Ceiling book shelf.
I don't even know how to call this - book shelf.
How do you store your books? Are you running out of space as well? Which one is your favorite book shelf?
Have a great week!
Haha, nice :) But I am still happy with my minimalist option!
ReplyDeleteHehe I thought so! :)
DeleteI've always loved the staircase idea, I think it's a very clever use of space :)
ReplyDelete(Of course with my luck I'd be so engrossed in looking at the titles, I'd trip and fall down the stairs!)
It totally is a clever use of space but I agree on what you said: I would surely break my leg being distracted by the books!
DeleteYou know I'm a total sucker for bookshelves and I am running out of space once again! Aggh, time to purge the collection once more. Or lend them out, which is what I've been doing lately
ReplyDeleteGlad you like bookshelves as much as I do. :) I can never get rid of my books, I love them all too much. Horrible, I know.
DeleteHi Katrin
ReplyDeleteawesome book shelves! i loved the tree book case and up in the air the most :)
Yeah, they are pretty awesome. :) Glad you like them too, Ankita!
DeleteI like simple book shelves but the ceiling one pictured here looks good to me, although I have thing with height so maybe ceiling bookshelves is not a good idea for me.
ReplyDeleteI am now reminded of the movie, funny face with audrey hepburn, there's a scene where a photographer comes into audrey's shop with models to take photos and the books kept being move around and she kept picking them up and such, I don't remember exactly if how's how it happened, but you can tell she adore the books a lot.
anyway, have a great day.
Haha, well in that case maybe the ceiling bookshelf is not the greatest idea! :) But it surely looks good!
DeleteThat sounds like a great scene! I have not seen that movie but I love anything that contains books and book lovers. :) I will have to check it out!
Have a great day!
I think we could use a bookshelves or two in this house. But we use virtual bookshelves a lot more these days.
ReplyDeleteI have some virtual bookshelves as well. :) But I definitely also need a new one in reality. :)
DeleteWe are definitely out of space! I need another bookshelf badly!
ReplyDeleteMe too, it is getting really bad! :)
DeleteThis post is such a treat. I recently got a chance to spend time at a home with a gigantic book wall! I'll show you photos soon :-)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds great! I would love to see some pictures!
DeleteHaha, you are certainly a book lover and it would be awesome to create a massive library room! I like the first one that requires climbing and the 2nd one, it looks cool against the wall! The ‘tree’ bookcase looks so cool, but not sure how it will fit many books! I like wire racks, they have an industrial look, I store most of the cookbooks there and they are in the kitchen. For personal books, I put them away somewhere in the office or sell them - it’s so crowded to keep too many books and I keep a lot of books on my Kindle or iPad.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my dreams to have my own library and I really hope it will be reality some day. I guess I will never leave that room then! I like wire racks as well, they look pretty great! I am sure you own many cookbooks! Would you mind sharing your collection someday? That would be so interesting to see!
DeleteMy favorites are the ones built into the staircases! So cool and functional!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I need one like that too!
