Questions upon questions.

Hallo meine Lieben,

a while ago my lovely friend Martha shared some questions on her blog and asked people to answer them. It took me a while (sorry, Martha), but here we go.

Would you rather have a year of summer or a year of winter?
Can I have a year of fall, please? I really don't know. I do not like being sweaty nor do I like to freeze all the time.

Would you rather become immortal, but be the only person with this condition; or live a short life and die after only fifty years?
I would rather become immortal I guess. I do not want to die after 50 years. I guess being immortal sucks as well but at least you can read lots of books.

Would you rather be rich, pretty and famous for a day or the lower-class, plain-Jane friend of a famous person for a year?
I do not care about being famous at all because I am sure it is annoying when people follow you around all the time. On the other hand you could share some important messages when you are famous and maybe I would be able to change the world somehow. I wouldn't mind being rich of course. And I definitely don't want to be the friend of a famous person for a year.

Would you rather lose your sight, hearing, taste, or sense of smell?
I guess either hearing or sense of smell. I do not want to lose my sight because then I could not read books anymore. And I love to eat so tasting stuff is pretty important. well, I guess I'll go for the sense of smell. Although that would suck big time too. Such hard questions!

Would you rather read the book first or watch the movie/TV show?
The book. Always the book. I want to use my own imagination first. And then let the show/movie destroy it.

Would you rather give an improvised speech live on television or walk around work with bad panty lines all day?
Oh my....I don't know. I get pretty nervous when I have to talk in front of lots of people. If I would have to walk around with bad pantie lines I think I would just sit down all day long and don't get up at all. Or run to the store and buy a long cardigan real quick.

Would you rather give up your favorite food for a whole year in exchange for a cash sum, or skip the money and pig out?
I guess that depends on how much cash....I love to eat.

Would you rather have a month of terrible days (think your worst day ever on repeat) or slip into a coma for a month and miss out on an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience?
I would be okay with a month of bad days but not a month of only the worst day of my life. No thank you. I also don't want to be in a coma because I know how it is for the family when somebody is in a coma.

Would you rather spend the rest of your life in your home country, or spend the rest of your life traveling anywhere you wanted (but never being able to return home)?
Those are really hard questions! Damn! I mean, there are so many places I want to see in the world! But never being able to see the place I grew up anymore would be horrible. If I could take all my loved ones and my childhood home with me then I would choose the second option.

Would you rather have a personal hairstylist give you a flawless ‘do every day for a year, or win an all-you-can-grab-in-an-hour shopping spree at your favorite store?
Shopping spree of course. My hair looks horrible no matter what.

I would love to read your answers!
Thank you for reading!

  1. I'm sure your hair doesn't look horrible : )

I actually have the travel situation kinda, I can't return to Saudi unless I marry a Saudi but that is where I grew up. I am used to it now though.

    1. I am really not a fan of my hair. :) But thank you!

You cannot return to Saudi Arabia unless you marry a Saudi? How is that?

  2. I don't like any of the questions, they seem rather unfair. but I think too, I would not want to lose my sight as I think seeing is more important than other senses, but losing any sense is bad altogether, I think.

hope you have a lovely day.

    1. The questions were really hard to answer. Martha did a great job! :) I think losing the ability to see would be the worst one for me!

Hope you will have a great weekend, Lissa!

  4. I might do this. Difficult questions though.

I'm not sure where I "grew up" but I don't feel the need to ever return to the pace I was born. My mum goes back a lot though.

I am pretty attached to the house I grew up in. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that my mom lived there for such a long time.

  5. These are really good questions, actually! As much as I love the US, I'm not sure I'd be okay with never leaving it. That one is a hard question, but I think I'd have to pick the second option!

And if I had to lose one of my senses, I'd definitely pick hearing. Both of my grandparents are deaf and have lived perfectly wonderful lives without being able to hear. I'd definitely NEVER pick to lose my sight, though! Yikes!

    1. The questions are really hard. I am not sure how I would feel about never being able to return to my home country. I am pretty attached to the house I grew up in. I guess mostly because there are so many memories of my mom.

Losing your sight would clearly be the hardest. I did not know that your grandparents are deaf. Now I know why you know sign language! I am glad that they have lived such wonderful lives!

  6. I'm sure your hair doesn't look horrible! And I hadn't thought about buying a long cardigan--that's smart. :)

    1. It does. I really don't like my hair! :) Hehe, I guess a long cardigan would be the easiest solution.

  7. Really some tough questions... really makes you think about your answer, doesn't it? The only one I can answer without a shadow of a doubt is the summer/winter one... my choice will always be summer... Good thing I live in Florida! :)

    1. Yeah, I still don't know how I feel about some of the answers. :) There are some really hard questions! I guess most people would prefer summer. You definitely live in the right state. :)

  9. "Would you rather" is always a fun game. My sister and dad play it, imagining the most horrible of situations including what type of death you would prefer. Morbid right?

  12. Interesting questions! I’ve never seen them before! Fall or spring is the perfect season - I don’t like being sweaty or cold at all. I cannot imagine being a celebrity, and it is annoying to be followed everywhere and imagine awful pictures of us on Daily Mail!

    1. I don't like being sweaty or cold either. And I get cold easily. Fall is perfect for me but I also like spring a lot. I absolutely agree, it would be so horrible to be famous. I don't like being in the spotlight!
