Five Things. "Hakuna matata, bitch", something crafty and a coconutty dream.

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Friday! Please check out my friend Celeste's Five Things as well!

1. Adopt a guinea pig month.

It is Adopt a Guinea Pig Month which I think is awesome because they are fantastic animals. When I was a kid I had a guinea pig (Puschel) and a bunny (Knuffi) living with me (I know you say that they don't get each other but they were best buds) and they made me sooo happy. I really want to adopt more guinea pigs at some point. You can read more about it here

2. This book.

"One grump's search for the happiest places in the world". I don't need to know more. I need to read it. Have you checked it out? What do you think?

3. This shirt.

I found the shirt on Etsy and I feel like I need to own a shirt like that. It's pretty fantastic.

4. This magazine.

Mollie Makes is definitely my favorite craft magazine. So many fantastic ideas for Easter. I just need to find the time to try them all. I need to be more crafty again. What is your favorite craft magazine? Any recommendations?

5. This chocolate bar.

A chocolate bar with almonds and coconut. Which is vegan. I want one. Or more. All the other Go Max Go sounds heavenly as well. I do have a sweet tooth. Won't fight it.

Have a happy weekend!

  4. Hi Katrin!

What a nice Pigie! the cap looks so cute on it :D

I finally got a few Indian brands, 'Soul flower' and 'Khadi' that are chemical free and not tested on animals. Yesterday only I got a sandalwood Vagan soap by Soulflower . It is really good! Unilever India and most cosmetic brands selling here do not test on animals as such tests are illegal here but still it is better to buy other brands that are totally vegetarian and cruelty free.

Yummy choco bar! I would love to have a bite!

    And superb magazine!

    have a happy weekend!!

    1. Hi Ankita! Yes, such a pretty guinea pig! :) I would love to adopt two!

Wow, Ankita, thanks so much for finding cruelty-free alternatives. I think it is fantastic! And I am glad that you like them so much! I agree that there are so many great cruelty-free brands which deserve all support they can get!

I want to try that chocolate bar too. It looks so good!

      Have a great week!

  5. Awww, I wish I could adopt a guinea pig but not in a rented apartment with my lifestyle :(

That shirt is really funny :)

I wish I was better at crafting, but I am still slowly making my way through this scarf!

    1. Yeah, I really wish I could add two guinea pigs to the pack. :) Hopefully someday that will work out!

I admire you for your knitting skills. I started a scarf but gave up at some point!

    1. Haha, is she that mean? :) I thought my cats would try to eat the bunnies as well but they get along perfectly fine!

  7. I read that book last summer and would definitely recommend it. Some very different ideas about what happiness means, but some good takeaways. And the part about the Swiss sounds suspiciously familiar to the Germans... ;)

    1. That sounds promising! I will have to check it out as soon as possible! Thanks for your opinion, Heather!

  8. 1. I sometimes think about getting a guinea pig, rabbit or chinchilla but I would feel weird having something in a cage in our small apartment. Plus I know the cats would terrorize it to death! They're not terribly friendly with other species, unfortunately.

    2. I haven't read it but it sounds interesting!

    3. That rocks.

    4. I don't craft at all these days--no time! I need to get back into knitting. I have the yarn and needles, just need to find time to make sweaters and scarves for people!

    5. That sounds so yummy!

    1. 1. Yeah being in a small cage all day is definitely not fun. Plus guinea pigs are very social animals so there should at least be two together. I am glad the bunnies have lots of space. I thought the cats would hate them but not at all. :) Maybe your cats would like some buddies too. :)

      2. I definitely need to check it out!

      4. I don't find time for crafting either but I really hope that I can start doing more crafty things soon. Can you knit sweaters? How awesome. I suck at knitting so much!

  9. We had a few hamsters growing up, but I really wanted a guinea pig since they're a bit bigger and fluffier. Never got one, though! And now we travel too often to really have pets. :o(

Aww, Eddie is such a cute name for a guinea pig! How did he look? I am sure he was adorable. I can imagine how much you must miss him! <3
