The one with the vegan cookie monster a.k.a. sweets I admire deeply.

Hallo meine Lieben,

I confess: I love sweets. A whole lot. Even more in winter time. All the lovely baked goods are just way too tempting. And as a vegan you can find even better sweets than the regular ones. Because: no cruelty involve. Who would not prefer that? Nobody. Which is why I want to share my favorite sweets with you today.

Zero Zebra chocolate.

I don't even know where to start. Vegan, fair trade, organic. Made with rice milk. The only sad thing: I always feel bad about eating them because they come in such cute animal shapes. But fear not, they also have chocolate bars that you do not feel sorry about.

Vego Bar.

Oh, Vego Bar...my dear friend. You come in a handy 150g bar which is way too tempting to eat in one sitting. Filled with yummy hazelnuts, you will always be my dear companion. Thank you for existing.

Chocolate peanut butter.

I know you are supposed to eat it with bread but it tastes even better directly out of the jar. And all you need is a spoon. This stuff is seriously good. I did not even like peanut butter that much before I tried this.

Manner Schnitten.

I love it when stuff is "accidentally vegan". And a lot of the Manner stuff is. Be aware, not all of their products are suitable for vegans but they state it on their website which is pretty nice. Can't get enough of those wafers.

Naturata chocolate, the vegan kind.

Not all the chocolates from that company are vegan but a lot of them are. I prefer the almond one. It is seriously so good. I swear you do not want cow milk chocolate anymore if you try this.

Goody Good Stuff and Surf Sweets.

I have no idea why people still eat gummi bears that contain gelatin. I mean, if you ever looked up what gelatin is then you might want to switch to a vegan version. My friend Martha surprised me with Surf Sweets gummi bears and they were delicious. When I open a bag then it will be empty in 15 minutes, max.

Dandies Marshmallows.

Fun fact: I never had marshmallows before I went vegan. I always wanted to try marshmallows but was never able to find some without gelatin. And then my friend Em send me some and I was addicted.

Earth Balance stuff.

This sounded kind of gross to me at first because it has cheddar flavor but I was also fascinated and had to try it. And it did not disappoint. Good stuff. Never even liked popcorn very much before I tried this.

So Delicious Cookie Dough Ice Cream.

It is vegan, it is ice cream and I can eat ice cream three times a day so I do not need to say more.

Also, I really love Marzipan dearly. It is very popular in Germany, especially at Christmas time and I do prefer it in potato shape or covered with dark chocolate. I also need to mention that there is a vegan version of a famous coconut chocolate bar. It is called Mahalo and pretty delicious.
Well, pudding is always a good idea as well. And cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes...
You can clearly see two things here: I have a huge sweet tooth and there are lot of vegan options for people with that kind of sweet tooth.

What's your favorite candy? Happy weekend.

Be cruelty-free week, a long way down and signs that your kitty loves you. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Tuesday! You can link up with Alyssa here! She is a real sweetheart by the way! And a cat lover!

1. Please check out this video made by The Humane Society and cruelty-free beauty bloggers. They spread a very important message which should concern all of us. Animal testing is unnecessary, horrible, outdated and nobody needs to torture another being for a beauty product, there are alternatives. So please consider this when you buy beauty products.

2. By the way: it is Be Cruelty-Free Week. Please help to make every week a cruelty-free week.

3. Here you can find an infographic about ending animal testing. Please have a look. For the animals.

4. Yesterday I accidentally found out that they made a movie out of one my fave books, A long way down by Nick Hornby. And Breaking Bad's Jesse is in it. I really really hope that they movie will be good. I am always a bit nervous to watch the movie version of a book I love because it often is disappointing. You can watch the trailer here. I guess I will probably re-read the book before I check out the movie. I guess I don't need to say this, but I highly recommend that book.

5. 10 signs your kitty actually loves you. Well, it looks like Lumpi and Tiger really like me. Phew. Tiger loves to lick my hair.

6. I always put the laundry in the washing machine and then forget about it.

7. Somebody told me today that their neighbors cut out a piece of their cats' ears so that they are easier to recognize. I don't know who did this, if these people did it theirselves or the vet....I thought I have heard and seen everything so far but it seems like I was wrong. What kind of horrible idiots do that to their cats? I have even met these people before but I did not know that they did that to their cats. Well, I will definitely tell them what I think if I ever see them again.

8. I really really really really want to see Grand Budapest Hotel.

9. I am really into the combination of chocolate and mint right now.

10. I love donkeys.

Happy Tuesday and thanks for reading!

Sunday Confessions. Animal rights hero, food addictions and excitement.

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! It's time for some confessions.

Confession #1.

I can't even tell you how excited I got when I found out yesterday that Norman Reedus supports Cruelty Free International. That guy is one of my favorite actors. Boondock Saints is my all time favorite movie and I am a Reedus fan since I saw that movie for the first time. He is also my favorite bad ass in Walking Dead. And now this? Thanks, Norman Reedus. You rock!
Maybe America and the rest of the world will listen to him.

Confession #2.

My current food addictions are watermelon (still), corn on the cob and fried tofu with veggies. And I will never understand why people think that spare ribs look delicious.

Confession #3.

I can't wait to finally see some more Breaking Bad tonight. I can't even put into words how excited I am. I feel like a little kid waiting for the Christmas gifts. But I am also sad because I know that there are only 8 episodes left. I probably need to watch it all over again.

Happy Sunday!
