An award and an apology.

Hallo meine Lieben,

first of all: sorry that there is not much interesting going on on this little blog right now. I am a bit busy so I don't find much time for blogging. I guess you all know how that is. But things will hopefully get better soon so be prepared for some more posts and more topics to blog about.

I recently received the Liebster award from bevchen and I feel so honored! Thank you so much! You can find her blog Confuzzledom here. She had a couple of questions for her nominees so I want to answer them now. 

1. If you could change your first name to anything at all, what would you pick?

I actually like my first name but I would probably choose something exotic like Phoebe Buffay did and  name myself Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. 

2. Where were you born?

In a tiny city in the south west of Germany, in a state called Rhineland-Palatinate. Pretty close to the oldest city in Germany, Trier. 

3. What is your favourite quote?

Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." 4. Tea, coffee or hot chocolate?

All of them, please. I mostly drink tea. Lots of tea. But I also like a cup of coffee once in a while. And I prefer my hot chocolate with almond milk. Vegan, please. 
My favorite drink right now is Irish Breakfast Tea with coconut milk. 

5. If you could own any animal, what would it be?

I do have two cats and two bunnies but I think a dog would be a great addition. :) I would also love to offer my home to another cat. And if I would live in my dream castle, then I would like to give some donkeys and cows and pigs and chicken etc. a new home. 

6. Why did you start blogging?

Hmm, good question. I started reading blogs before I started my own blog and I have always been fascinated by the blogging world. Then I moved to America and I guess I just wanted to share my thoughts with some people. I am glad I started my blog. I have met so many wonderful people, made some great friends and I really don't want to miss this!

7. Who is your favourite author?

I guess it is not a secret that I love crime novels and I wrote a post about my favorite crime writers here

8. What is your favourite flavour of crisps (chips for the Americans)?

Salt and vinegar.

9. Apart from blogs, which website do you spend most time on?

I don't find as much time as I want to right now but I really love goodreads. It is a great way to discover new books. I also love cuteoverload - lots of animal pictures. It's probably not a website but I do love Instagram a lot. 

10. Do you have a talent? If so, what?

I don't know if it is a talent but I love to paint and draw and do all things crafty. And I can make my thumbs move in a weird way. 


11. What was the last song you listened to?

"I'm alone but that's okay" by Ron Sexsmith. The song from the great show "Family Tree".

    1. I would love to change my name to Irina, I have no idea why.
    2. I was born in a small island, shaped like a sweet potato. It's so tiny!

    4. Of course, tea. I'm just like you! :) I love fresh fruity teas.
    5. I used to have a dog (my childhood dog, she died of lymphoma) and fostered several cats. I would love to have two cats and two dogs so they can all get together as friends and talk!
    6. I started blogging because I would love to expose many of our vegan finds around the world! I was into fashion editorial blogging, but changed to food :)
    7. I love many Scandivian and Swedish authors for crime novels (same as you!)
    8. I like viewing Instagram food photos, food pictures and of course recipes from Wall Street Journal/NY Times.
    9. I've been listening to a South African rap duo, Die Antwoord. I don't listen to rap, but I think their music is unique. They are vegetarians, too, but they make very unique music videos if you look it up.

  6. Love reading these posts! I like your fave quotes. And I've been craving hot chocolate really badly the past few days--I think because fall is here! And now I'm craving some salt & vinegar chips. Yum.

  7. Princess Consuelo Banana Hammock!! I love that episode! I think that's when her boyfriend, Paul Rudd, says he is changing his name to Crap Bag. :o) Is Friends not the best show ever? I could watch reruns all day.

    When we are done with traveling overseas, which probably won't be for a good amount of years, I'd love to live on a farm again where we could have donkeys and cows and goats, too. We raised chickens in Tennessee, so of course I'd love to have those again, too. There's just something about taking care of animals - it's good for your heart!

    1. Haha, yeah, I love Friends so much! One of the best shows ever. I loved Phoebe and Mike together. Crap Bag was such a nice name. I started watching the episodes again. So much fun!
