Chocolate is salad, an almost disgusting addiction and an afterlife full of books. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Tuesday! You can link up and join the fun with Alyssa here.

1. If you love goats and want to smile then you should totally check out this video. Goats are such fantastic animals! But hey, I say that about every animal...but it is true.

2. I probably repeat myself but I would really love to live in a haunted castle with lots of goats, donkeys, cows, pigs, cats, dogs, bunnies, chicken....

3. When I can't fall asleep then I listen to Die Drei Fragezeichen ("The Three Investigators), a mystery radio play. I think it is made for children but I know lots of grown-ups who love it. I think there are 167 so far and I started listening to them when I was a still. It definitely has something comforting to be in bed and listen to some plays from your childhood. Oh, and Hitchcock is a part of it so that makes it even better.

4. I went to the bookstore a couple of days ago and discovered countless books which I want to read. I have no idea when I will ever find time to read all these books. I need at least 5 more lives. I mean, I don't know what happens after I die but I do hope it involves books. I could haunt a book store for example.

5. I got a new running shirt today but I am still searching for a running jacket. I am really getting into that whole running thing.

6. Did you know that onions are really dangerous for cats? I would say that onions are never a good idea because they are evil. That's why I never use them for anything so the cats don't have to be scared of onion poisoning. Here are the 10 most dangerous people foods for cats.

7. It is almost disgusting how much I love Brussel sprouts right now. Almost. I don't know how common it is to eat them every single day but I enjoy every bit of it. You could talk about an addiction though.

8. I have not seen much about the Oscars but here are my thoughts: Jared Leto does not look like 42 at all. I blame it on the vegan diet. White suits on men can look good. I need to catch up on some Oscar movies.  I don't know anything about Ellen DeGeneres.

9. You don't really need an excuse to eat chocolate but here is one.

10. Caffeine has no effect on me.

Have a happy Tuesday!

    6. I DID know that and I'm reading the rest of the list now!
    8. You didn't miss much. It was kind of a snooze fest this year.
    9. YES! I like that logic!
    10. That's funny because it makes me bounce off the walls!
    Thanks for linking up!

    1. Yeah I heard the oscars were kind of boring. So I guess I really did not miss that much!
At least caffeine wakes you up in the morning. :) I wish it would do that for me. But I guess it is not always enjoyable!

  2. hahaha,
living in a haunted house sounds challenging. though i don't think i want to live in a haunted house. i haven't heard anything from a radio for donkey years! Die Drei Fragezeichen sounds really interesting. i think i'm gonna love it too if i had it here

    1. Well, I guess it depends on the ghost who haunts that house. :) I mean, I would not want to live with some mean creepy ghost!
I have those plays as mp3's so I can listen to them on my iPad. That's pretty cool! And I am sure you would love them!

  3. chocolate is salad! must eat chocolate now.
I absolutely love the comment: maybe I'll haunt a bookstore.
had no idea about onions being bad for cats, not that I ever would give a cat an onion, but wouldn't guess that they're bad for them.

    1. Hope you enjoyed the chocolate. And I am glad that you like me haunting a bookstore. :)
I had no idea about the onions either but there is no chance the cats would get close to one since I hate them so much! :)

  4. Yes, I had a minor freakout moment when I found out Jared Leto is 42. I mean, what the what. That's how old his MOM looks

    1. Yeah, totally! I was so surprised because I did not expect him to be over 40. He does not look like it at all!

  5. Target usually has good running stuff. Actually, all of my workout stuff is from there - I love their C9 line - it's affordable and very good quality.

    1. I have not heard about the C9 line but sounds great. I really want to get a good selection of running gear, that is so motivating!

  6. Oh, my! I read the article about the 10 most dangerous foods for cats very carefully. I had no idea that avocado, onion and garlic was so harmful to cats; thanks for sharing the article! ;)

Caffeine doesn't do anything to me, either! And I guess it kinda sucks, because I'd like to be able to drink coffee as a pick-me-up when I'm tired :/ ... David can't have any coffee at night because he won't be able to sleep.

Hahaha, I'm totally into the idea that chocolate is salad! :p

Hehe, I don't know much about Ellen either, only that she's vegan :p.

Thanks for dropping by, Katrin! Hope you have a wonderful week! ;D

    1. I did not know about that either. I mean, I would not give the cats onions or garlic or anything like that but still...I know which flowers are bad for cats but I did not know about some of the food items/

Yeah it would be nice to drink some coffee in the morning and feel awake. :) But what will you do. We are stronger than caffeine. :)

I think I have read that Ellen isn't even a vegan anymore but I am not sure!

Have a fantastic week! <3 Thank you for dropping by!

  7. You could haunt the British Library - 15 million books live in there. That would take you at least a few years to get through. ;o)

You really must watch Ellen's talk show sometime! She's hilarious! I miss her show so much!

    1. Sounds like the perfect library to haunt! Thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind! :D

It seems like I am the only one who has never seen her show. Haha. Can't you watch it online maybe?

  9. 1-2 I feel the same way, as you know :) Those goats are so cute! That poor big on on the leash looked like he wanted to get up there and he couldn't, the babies were hogging it!
    3. I love Hitchcock!
    4. I'll never have time to read all of the books I want to read either.
    5. I'm stuck walking on the treadmill for now. On top of our snow we got rain. Ugh! So no going outside for a while :P
    6. I think I've heard of that! I know some flowers like tulips are also supposed to be poisonous, so I won't bring those home either.
    7. I can't remember the last time I ate brussel sprouts...don't remember if I liked them or not :P
    8. I know right?! It's totally the vegan diet.
    9. I like that excuse!
    10. I drank two cups of coffee last night and then went straight to bed. Sigh.

    1. 1-2. Yes I know and I am so happy you feel the same way. :) And I felt a bit bad for the big goat too! I am sure he wanted to join the fun!
      3. Yeah, anything Hitchcock sounds good to me. :)
      4. It is so sad we don't have more time to read.
      5. That weather sounds horrible! I am so sorry! I wish I had a treadmill too!\
      6. Yeah there are lots of poisonous flowers for cats. I always check first. But I don't have many flowers anyway because I always kill them. Daffodils are really bad for example.
      7. Hehe I think I did not like them for a couple of years but then I started eating them again and could not stop!
      8. It totally is!
      9. It is the perfect excuse!
      10. yeah, I can do the same. We are stronger than caffeine!

  10. LOVE the excuse to eat chocolate. I am going to use this for justification for the rest of my life. And I didn't even recognize Jared Leto with that long hair. Is that real?

    1. Hehe, it really is a good excuse. :) Yeah, the long hair is real, he grew it for his last role I think!

  12. Hi Katrin

haha nice post! so chocolate is a salad! that's good!
The piggie image is really cute with a very relevant message.
I dislike running, I prefer brisk walking.
btw, I am trying to cut down on salt and sugar in in my food intake. Lets see if enter achieve zero sugar zone.

I am still searching about Unilever and animal testing, I am sure Hinduatan Unilever does not test on animals, that's why the delay in replying to your mail :)

    1. Hi Ankita,

yeah you can eat as much chocolate as you want and you don't need to feel guilty about it! :)
Oh wow, it must be hard to avoid sugar and salt! Let me know how that works out for you! I am trying not to eat lots of salt as well!

Hmm, I don't know about Unilever in India...my problem is that Unilever is a worldwide company and when you buy from them then you support that company no matter what. And there are so many cruelty free alternatives. But I do hope they don't test in India!

      Have a great weekend!

yes, chocolate is a salad but only if you eat a whole box of it. I believe that.
