Picking a movie is hard to do.

Hallo meine Lieben,

second post for this month....I am on fire.  Feels good to be back in the game. So, I read about this film challenge on my friend Erin's blog and I thought that participating would help to make myself watch more movies this time. I never really find the time. So yeah, now I have to. You can read everything about the challenge here

Pinterest - love this movie by the way.

And here are my picks...

one. any set in new york city. - Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

two. any incorporating hot air balloons in the story. - Up

three. any featuring a child as the main character. - Stand by me

four. any disney film. - Frankenweenie

five. any set in egypt OR have an egyptian character OR star an egyptian actor/actress. -Night at the museum ( I decided to let it count)

six. a close friend or family member's favorite film. - Wild

seven. any with the word great in the title. - The Great Gatsby (I wanted to pick The Great Mouse Detective but it's against the rules because I have already seen it. )

eight. any starring harrison ford. - I would love to pick the new Star Wars movie but the challenge ends November 30. And because I have only seen the first Indiana Jones so far I will watch one of the others.

nine. any featuring an idiot as the main character.  - Our Idiot Brother

ten. any mentioned in levis strauss' list: denim in the oscars: a look at jeans in cinema. - Brokeback Mountain

eleven. a film about a knight. - A Knight's Tale

twelve. a love story. - Before Midnight

thirteen. a movie about something miraculous. -  Michael

fourteen. any starring an actor/actress with the same first name as yours. - Tammy. I could not find an actress named Katrin so I chose Kathy Bates. That's close.

fifteen. a film about the olympics. - I love Cool Runnings by the way. But it must be a new to me movie which is why I have to pick Munich

sixteen. a film on time magazine's list: the top ten newspaper movies. - Zodiac (Another newspaper movie I want to watch is True Story but it is not on the list)

seventeen. any with a question in the title. - Dude, where's my car? (Yeah, seriously. Couldn't think of anything else)

eighteen. any with a score of ninety percent or greater on rotten tomatoes. - Paddington

nineteen. a film about a superhero. - Guardians of the Galaxy

twenty. any with subtitles. - The Swedish version of The Girl Who Played With Fire

twenty-one. any incorporating unicorns in the story. - Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay ( I am sure that will be my new all time favorite)

twenty-two. a film about a personal victory. - The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey

twenty-three. a film with black or white in the title. - (No, not Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle) Snow White and The Huntsman (maybe I will watch Harold and Kumar anyway). I cannot come up with a good one here - help!

twenty-four. any set in a country you would most like to visit. - The Keeper of Lost Causes

twenty-five. a film set in a zoo. - I like animal sanctuaries. Most zoos are not very good places. So I am cheating here and I choose Forks Over Knives because I care about animals.

Do you have any better ideas? Please share!

Have a lovely day!

The one with the crazy cat lady cardigan, the non-Christmassy movies and the crappy cake. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy December! I hope you are all doing great. You can link up with my friend Alyssa here

#1. December means it is time to watch Love Actually (even though I hate Liam Neeson), the Harry Potter series, The Holiday and my very special Christmas Eve movie Dirty Dancing. Which is not a Christmas movie at all but it is my tradition and I will stick to it.

#2. What movies do you watch in December? What are your favorite Christmas movies? Do you have any non-Christmassy movies you like to watch at Christmas?

#3. I am in love with this cardigan so please magically appear on my doorstep. Thanks.

#4. I bought vegan curry mayo today which sounds kind of weird but also kind of awesome...considering I hated mayo so much before I went vegan. It is one of the grossest things I can imagine...only topped  by onions and meat etc. of course. But give me vegan mayo and I am a happy girl (and I only discovered my love for it a couple of weeks ago).

#5. I drink a hot chocolate every night. It is good for your brain, it warms your heart, it tastes yummy and I do not even need a reason to drink it.

#6. My hair sucks.

#7. I want this to be a place in my house. Just add a globe bar.

#8. Last weekend I made a cake that looked like crap but tasted like heaven. Banana, hazelnut and chocolate. I did not bother to take a picture because it was so ugly.

#9. I am still not over the fact that I have to wait until April for the newest Jussi Adler-Olsen novel. I need a Danish speaker to translate it for me.

#10. My current food addictions are: apricot cream filled wafers, applesauce mixed with soy yogurt and cinnamon, Müsli with lots of nuts, Vego bars and bananas.

Have a great rest of the week and thank you for reading!

I am glad the cat I got is you, rabbit food and a vegan advent calender. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

you can link up for Ten On Tuesday with my friend Alyssa here.

1. I am pretty good at destroying things. Today I destroyed part of my laptop keyboard which really sucks.

2. Top Ten reasons not to wear wool. Did you know that sheep don't need to be shorn? Plus they get hurt in the process of taking their wool. And then they end up as meat. Also cows don't need to be milked because the calf would drink the milk in a natural setting. But calves are taken away from the mother so that humans can take the milk.

3. The movie "The Inbetweeners" is called "Sex on the beach" in Germany. How stupid is that?

4. This cat song clearly is an ear worm and the video makes me smile every single time. I am so glad I got Lumpi and Tiger as cats. Also cute: Things I like when I'm depressed. Another cute video: If dogs could apologize. I clearly watch too many adorable videos. Definitely a good thing to do when you are depressed.

5. How fantastic are fire paintings

6. I found a vegan advent calender! With rice milk chocolate. When I was a kid I had an advent calender with 24 paper houses that my mom made for me. And she filled it with chocolate, candy and even toys.

7. Because I really love The Inbetweeners.

8. I am not exactly into rap music but here is a vegan song with fab lyrics, ear worm qualities and adorable animals. "They call it rabbit food, just because I don't call the rabbit food." I love my rabbit food.

9. Still waiting to find out when I  will be able to get a German or English translation of the 6th book of the Carl Mørck series by Jussi Adler-Olsen. I am impatient and I want to read that book now. Why can't I speak Danish?

10. Speaking of languages: one of the superpowers I would like to have is to be able to speak every single language that exists.

Have a fantastic rest of the week! Thanks for reading!

The one with the kitty birthday. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

today is a very special day! One of the most special days of the year: my cats Lumpi ad Tiger's 7th birthday!! Time flies by. I can't believe that these guys are already making me happy for 7 years. Adopting them was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Two grown-up happy sleepy birthday boys. I might be a crazy cat lady but these guys are a part of my family and I could not be more thankful!
Happy happy birthday Lumpi and Tiger! Hope you enjoy your birthday gifts! I love you!
You can link up for Ten On Tuesday with my friend Alyssa.

1. I love to celebrate cat birthdays. They get presents, lots of food and of course I sing Happy Birthday to them. Not sure if they like that part.

2. Last weekend I watched a French movie called "Intouchables" It is a comedy-drama about the friendship of a handicapped millionaire and his ex-con caretaker. I laughed a whole lot and if you haven't seen that movie yet then I definitely recommend watching it. There are even some Hitler jokes in it - something that every German enjoys. It is also based on a true story.

3. I had to realize that my rusty French is not good enough to understand everything they say in a 2 hour movie. So even though I really hate subtitles, I had no other choice.

4. Jillian Michaels is one mean b?#@%. I started her 30 day shred on Sunday and my legs feel pretty heavy now. Also my abs hurt when I have to sneeze. Which is weird.

5. Click here if you want to see a yawning baby hedgehog. And this is another cute yawn. A triple yawn.

6. I really like these vegan Toms. I always wanted to have shoes with the periodic system of elements on them.

7. My current food addictions include pickles, corn on the cob, ice cream and more ice cream.

8. Please take a minute and sign this petition to stop the South-Australian ag-gag legislation and to protest against cruelty in slaughterhouses.

9. Do you want to be my friend on Goodreads?

10. Because it is the most important thing today: Happy happy birthday to my fantastic cats.

Have a great week!

Five Things. A book chandelier, a little vampire and movie excitement.

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope your Sunday is full of sunshine and happiness. Please check out my friend Celeste's Five Things as well.

1. Fave book from my childhood.

Der kleine Vampir (the little vampire) was my childhood hero. I wanted to have a vampire as friend as well. Never met one unfortunately. But I named my cat Lumpi after one of the characters (the coolest character of course). I re-discovered the books a couple of days ago and now I feel like re-reading them. And watching the TV series. Luckily I have it on DVD.

2. This chandelier.

Obviously there is not much to say about this other than: I need a chandelier like that. Desperately.

3. This movie.

I can't even put into words how excited I am that I found out that there is an Adler-Olsen movie out there. The keeper of lost causes. One of my favorite crime novels ever. I need to watch this gem as soon as possible. My only problem is that Carl Mørck and Assad do not look at all the way I pictured them. And I hate when that happens.

4. This bookshelf.

Okay, this is what I always wanted. Just add a fireplace, a comfy chair and a globe bar. Maybe it would hold all my books.

5. More bookshelves.

Here are 20 insanely creative bookshelves because you can never have enough bookshelves. At least not in my house. Which one is your favorite?

Have a happy Sunday and a fantastic week!

Chocolate is salad, an almost disgusting addiction and an afterlife full of books. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Tuesday! You can link up and join the fun with Alyssa here.

1. If you love goats and want to smile then you should totally check out this video. Goats are such fantastic animals! But hey, I say that about every animal...but it is true.

2. I probably repeat myself but I would really love to live in a haunted castle with lots of goats, donkeys, cows, pigs, cats, dogs, bunnies, chicken....

3. When I can't fall asleep then I listen to Die Drei Fragezeichen ("The Three Investigators), a mystery radio play. I think it is made for children but I know lots of grown-ups who love it. I think there are 167 so far and I started listening to them when I was a still. It definitely has something comforting to be in bed and listen to some plays from your childhood. Oh, and Hitchcock is a part of it so that makes it even better.

4. I went to the bookstore a couple of days ago and discovered countless books which I want to read. I have no idea when I will ever find time to read all these books. I need at least 5 more lives. I mean, I don't know what happens after I die but I do hope it involves books. I could haunt a book store for example.

5. I got a new running shirt today but I am still searching for a running jacket. I am really getting into that whole running thing.

6. Did you know that onions are really dangerous for cats? I would say that onions are never a good idea because they are evil. That's why I never use them for anything so the cats don't have to be scared of onion poisoning. Here are the 10 most dangerous people foods for cats.

7. It is almost disgusting how much I love Brussel sprouts right now. Almost. I don't know how common it is to eat them every single day but I enjoy every bit of it. You could talk about an addiction though.

8. I have not seen much about the Oscars but here are my thoughts: Jared Leto does not look like 42 at all. I blame it on the vegan diet. White suits on men can look good. I need to catch up on some Oscar movies.  I don't know anything about Ellen DeGeneres.

9. You don't really need an excuse to eat chocolate but here is one.

10. Caffeine has no effect on me.

Have a happy Tuesday!

Random Thursday. TV/Movie character I'd like to date....

Hallo meine Lieben,

hope you are all doing fantastic! Welcome to another Random Thursday with LinEm and me. Thanks for reading and being a part of it.
We have another interesting topic for you and I can't wait to read all your posts. I am a curious person, you know.

Yoda

I know, I know. He is a Grand Master of the Yedi Order, he is green and has giant ears and I am a couple of heads taller than him. But who cares. I don't care about looks. That guy is smart, he is a fighter and he has a huge heart. You have no other choice than to want to date him.

Chandler Bing

I love Friends and Chandler Bing is my favorite character ever. I love his sarcasm and even his stupid jokes. And how can you not want to date a guy whose second name is Muriel?

Alcide

I have a little weakness for hero-like werewolves who are the master of their pack (is he still? I got a little confused during the last season). I mean, that guy can turn into a wolf. I love animals. So a guy who can turn into one is definitely a keeper. Plus you would never have to iron that guy's shirts because he hardly wears any.

McManus Brothers

Those guys are just so damn cool. Especially Murphy MacManus of course. Norman Reedus is a pretty smart guy when it comes to picking his roles. I mean, Murphy MacManus and Daryl Dixon? Could it be any more heroic? I don't think so.  Plus Norman Reedus loves animals and is an animal rights activist so that definitely speaks for him as well.

So now please tell me: Which movie or TV show character would you like to date?
Happy Thursday!

Random Thursday. Movies I hate to admit I loved...

Hallo meine Lieben,

welcome to another Random Thursday with LinEm and me. Thanks so much for reading, commenting and linking up. You guys all rock!
I hope you are having a fantastic week.

Well, I have thought about this a lot. I even asked David for his opinion and he said that he can't think of anything I like that I am ashamed of. And I guess he is right. I do not hate to admit that I love anything I love because I really could not care less what other people think of my taste. I like what I like and if other people think this is stupid, then it is their problem and not mine. I never had a problem to share my opinion...even if people disapproved or thought that I am not cool because I don't share their opinion. People will always be judgmental and if they don't approve of anything I like then that's okay for me.

So here are some movies others might find stupid or not worthy to enjoy but I do.

The Malibu Bikini Shop - Two brothers who have just graduated from college inherit a bikini store from their aunt. Sounds like a fantastic movie to me. I am pretty sure I am the only person who ever watched this movie and I still have it on VHS somewhere. If they would show it on TV ever again, I would totally spend 90 minutes enjoying some early childhood memories.

I did enjoy watching the Twilight movies. Well except of the second last, that one was boring like hell. I do not love these movies but they are definitely entertaining. I even enjoyed reading the books...even when the writing was horrible and the main female character a hot mess which you can only hate or feel sorry for. Or both. But: I felt entertained. I don't watch these movies all the time, I have watched them once but I did enjoy sitting on the couch, eating lots of chips and watching a vampire and a werewolf trying to save an annoying girl. You don't have to think, you can just sit down and relax. And sometimes that is what you need. I am aware of the fact that those books are not great literature. That the movies are not award-worthy. I don't care. In my opinion I do have a good taste in movies, shows and books. And I don't care if there are some pieces among those which are not worth to be proud of.

One of my favorite movies ever is The Sword in the Stone. Do I hate to admit that I love children's movies. Of course I don't. This movie is fantastic, funny, exciting and it has an important message. What is not to love about it. Some people might look down on you because you love to watch movies which are made for children. Who cares. People who are afraid to be childish totally miss out.

Okay, and here are some other movies that others might find disturbing or weird or embarrassing or boring or stupid - which I totally like.

Can't buy me love - Patrick Dempsey before he was McDreamy as a nerd fighting for the love of a girl. And mowing the lawn. I love it. Also Seth Green is in that movie. It's one of my childhood favorites.

Camp Cucamonga - Jennifer Aniston is in it. And Steve Urkel. Also a favorite movie from my childhood. It is about romance and pranks. That pretty much sums it up.
Dodgeball - A group of misfits enter a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament in order to save their cherished local gym from the onslaught of a corporate health fitness chain. Makes me laugh every single time I watch it. They make jokes about Germans plus Chuck Norris is in it.

Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill movies - I am not sure if this is an only European thing or not. Maybe you can help me out. Who else knows them? They are basically about punching people. A lot.
Just Bud Spencer movies -for example "Der Große mit seinem außerirdischen Kleinen" - A young humanoid alien who gets stranded on earth hooks up with a grizzled old sheriff in a western town and tries to help him solve a tough case, but the sheriff doesn't want any help from a "kid." - does that sound like something you might be embarrassed about?

Baseketball - Two childhood friends are pro athletes of a national sport called BASEketball, a hybrid of baseball and basketball, and must deal with a greedy businessman scheming against their team. Stupid story but very entertaining.
Bubba Ho-Tep - Elvis and JFK, both alive and in nursing homes, fight for the souls of their fellow residents as they battle an ancient Egyptian Mummy. How can you not love this.
Die Lümmel von der ersten Bank - and all other Hansi Kraus movies. Definitely a German thing. Those are movies from the 60's, they take place in a school and are all about making fun of teachers and playing pranks.
Roy Black movies and shows - especially "Ein Schloß am Wörthersee", a German TV series about a hotel at a lake. As exciting as it sounds but it reminds me of my childhood (it is from the 90s). I even visited that hotel once.
Wayne's World - You just have to love Wayne and Garth. Especially Garth.
Bio-Dome - again, not sure if I am the only one who watched this movie. This is a typical Sunday afternoon movie for me. "Moronic best friends get themselves locked inside the Bio-Dome, a science experiment, along with a group of environmental scientists for one year." As you can see, I love movies with great plots.

What movie do you love but are ashamed to admit it to the rest of the world?

This is the end.

Hallo meine Lieben,

how's your weekend going? I hope you are having a great one!

We went to the cinema to see "This is the end" and it made me laugh so much. I definitely want to watch this movie again. Right now. And that does not happen very often.

Six friends  (Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill etc) are trapped in Franco's house during the apocalypse. I don't want to spoil anything but you can trust me that strange things happen in there. If you don't mind strong language, blood, violence and drugs and if you want a good laugh and 2 hours of great entertainment, then you should definitely check out this movie.

You even get to see lots of famous people such as Rihanna, Paul Rudd, Emma Watson, Channing Tatum (probably in his best role ever), Michael Cera and the performance of a very famous boy group from the 90's (which made me laugh out loud).

Check out the trailer.

Have a wonderful weekend!

50's drive-in, Mexican food and annoying neighbors.

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Independence Day! I was obsessed with that movie when it came out. My friend Julia and I watched it every day for a couple of weeks, sometimes even twice a day. "I picked a hell of a day to quit drinking." Grossartig. I think I have to watch that movie again. Today.

Speaking about movies: On Monday David and I went to the Springmill Drive-in in Mansfield to watch Prometheus and Ted. Both movies were really good. Prometheus is more David's kind of movie and Ted is a movie I would have picked out. So we were both happy. And we only paid 6 dollars per person for two movies. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Springmill was originally constructed as a single screen theater in the late 1950's but added a second screen later. The theater says that "this 50's style drive-in has all the nostalgia and the best in FM stereo sound.". It sure has the charm of the 50's but I also think that's a good strategy for not doing any renovations.

We went to a Mexican restaurant first and then headed out to the theater where the first movie started at 9:50. The second movie started around midnight and I have to admit that I got a little tired around 1 am. I am getting old.

It was a wonderful evening, except of our stupid "neighbors" at the theater: A lovely mom of 2 boys who loudly kicked them out of the car to be alone with her husband/boyfriend/lover/whatever. I think she was unable to speak in a quiet voice so we were able to understand all her lovely conversations with her kids. I am not sure if it is a good education strategy to yell at your kids all the time....but I am not an expert. Maybe I am missing something. Well, it was a little annoying that they walked around the car the whole time, moved their chairs, played with their phones and yelled at each other. But okay, I am a patient person. Or maybe not but I stayed calm.
The whole situation reached its climax when they decided to leave 5-10 minutes before the movie was over. It is very respectful towards the other customers when you start to pack your chairs in your trunk, talk to each other, close the doors and trunk of your car, turn on the lights and drive away when other people try to watch the end of the movie...but okay. Maybe they had an emergency. Maybe they just wanted to be the first in the line of all the 15 cars to leave. I don't know. It will always remain a mystery but I do hope that I will never have to watch a movie next to that lovely family again.

The entry area of the drive-in. It does have the charm of the 50's. I like the pink and turquoise colors. I pretty combination in my opinion. It won't destroy the 50's flair when you repaint the white wall though.

Unfortunately I haven't seen a car like that in the theater. That would have been very 50's. But you can't have everything.

The screen. Looks pretty small in that picture but it has a decent size. I am not so sure about the quality though. Especially the second movie was not so pleasant. Don't get me wrong, it was fine but you can't compare it to other cinemas and really sophisticated movie critics might be disappointed.

That's where you pay a very slow woman and her son 6 dollars per person to get in. We paid 1,20 dollar first and then again 10,80 dollars because she wasn't very talented at the payment system.

El Campestre Mexican restaurant. I tried to take some embarrassing eating pictures but did not succeed this time.

David did a much better job. I am not sure what's wrong with my left arm in that picture.

My delicious food. A huge plate with different vegetables. I just had to cancel the onions, a main ingredient of that meal. Brr...

Do you like drive-ins? What was the last movie you have seen? Do you like Prometheus and Ted?
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Favorite movie characters

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

I think you already know that I love making lists so today I decided to make one with my favorite movie characters. Some really touched my heart, some just make me laugh, some are my heroes.

I want to start with these guys:

                                                  via Pinterest

In case you have read my previous posts you know that "The Boondock Saints" is my all-time favorite movie. And the McManus brothers are just so damn cool. I can watch that movie all over again and every time I think "Hell yeah!". You just have to love them. I know, I know....they kill lots of people but they just want to get rid of all evil guys in Boston. They have a reason to be brutal. So, Connor and Murphy: you are my heroes.

And how can you not like this guy?

                                                  via Pinterest

I am so in love with his grandmother's pet lama Tina. Napoleon is hilarious.  Just look at him! You must love all the characters in the movie. The way they act makes me laugh so much every time I watch it. Napoleon's brother Kip searches for his dream girl on the internet and wants to be a cage fighter. Their grandmother loves quad-biking. Their uncle is a former athlete who lives in a campervan and has a girlfriend named  LaFawnduh. Napoleon's friend Pedro is also a school outcast but wants to run for class president. All you can do is to take them into your heart and wish for a happy ending.

And Yoda.

Let's just make it short: He is the man.
(David does not agree with me on that.)

All the characters from Dodgeball make me laugh so hard but Fran Stalinovskovichdavidovitchsky freaks me out. She is the only "woman" in the team. Look at her. She is adorable.

George Clooney as Seth Gecko. So cool.
And George Clooney as Matt King in the Descendants. He touched my heart.
Two completely different characters but George Clooney is one of my favorite actors. He completely convinced me as Dr. Doug Ross in Emergency Room.

And you must love these guys:

Tucker and Dale.

The guys from Nacho Libre.

Maybe my taste is weird. But what are your favorite movie characters? Who makes you laugh? Who makes you cry?

Things I like.

Hallo Ihr Lieben.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

You already know some random facts about me, you have learned that I am married to David, that we have 4 pets and that I have lost my Mama when I was 19. Maybe you want to learn some more about me....that's why I decided to make a list for you that contains some of my favorite things. And the things I dislike.

Favorite smell.
I love the way it smells after a rainstorm. And the smell of vanilla. And David smells absolutely incredible.
Worst smell.
Onions!!!

Favorite TV show.
Uhhh....there are so many. The Big Bang Theory is hilarious. I think I watch too much TV but here are some of the shows I love to watch: Castle, How I Met Your Mother, Black Books, Grey's Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, Game of Thrones, Das perfekte Dinner, The Mentalist, Cougar Town, 30 Rock, Der kleine Vampir, Six feet under, Friends, That 70's Show, Emergency Room....oh my God, I am addicted. This is not the end of my list....
Worst TV show.
Talkshows. Especially when they do paternity tests. Please!

Favorite movie.
The Boondock Saints. Best movie EVER. I could watch it again and again. I also like Napoleon Dynamite, Dirty Dancing, The Descendants, Reality Bites, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Into the wild, Earthlings, Die hard, Wayne's World, 127 Hours,  Dodgeball, Before Sunrise, The Sword In The Stone, all kinds of Horror movies, Love actually, High Fidelity, Nacho Libre....I just love spending a day with David on the couch watching shows and movies.
Worst movie.
City of Angels. So boring.

Favorite city.
Amsterdam. The city has such an amazing atmosphere. I love being there, everybody is so relaxed, I love the canals, I love the people. Can't get enough of it.
Worst city.
Hmm, that's really difficult. I mean, there are nice places even in the ugliest city. So I am not sure. I guess I have to say Völklingen. It is a German city, located in Saarland. I guess there aren't many pretty things in Völklingen. So don't go there!

Favorite sport.
Fußball! I am a German. It is the best sport ever. I think every country in the whole wide world loves Fußball. Except of America. I think they just don't get it. And they don't have any good players. I like American Football too. I have been to one game with David (Cleveland Browns! Woohoo!) and it was so much fun. I have to admit that I have no idea about Baseball. I just don't understand the rules.
Worst "sport".
Dog racing. Horse racing, Hunting. No sport. It is just cruel

Favorite game.
Poker. And Monopoly. On my phone: Words with friends and Scramble with friends. I am addicted. Oh, and Draw Something. So much fun. But I have to admit that it is a little difficult to draw on the little iPhone screen.
Worst game.
Mikado. I guess in English it is called "Jackstraws". Or "Pick-a-stick". I just can't play this game because my hands are too shaky. I have never won this game. And that makes me sad.

Favorite magazines.
Neon (a German lifestyle magazine) and Glamour.
Worst magazine.
Anything about hunting.

Favorite colors.
Black. Blue. Green. Pink. Brown. And all kinds of minty colors at the moment.
Worst color.
Hmm, I like all colors. But there are colors I can't wear because they make me look sick. Light yellow for example. But it looks awesome on other people.

Favorite things to do.
Spending time with David, reading, playing with the pets, writing, blogging, crafts, watching shows and movies (surprise, surprise), going to flea markets, having coffee, being in book stores, being at dm (a German drug store), daydreaming, reading blogs, cooking, hiking, painting, drawing, sleeping....
Worst things to do.
Ironing. It just sucks.

Favorite drink.
Beer and wine. And Dr. Pepper. And tea and coffee.
Worst drink.
Ouzo. Sambuca. Anything with anise in it. Jägermeister. Pepsi.

Favorite food.
Pasta, couscous, potatoes, chick peas, broccoli (David hates it!)
Worst food.
Onions and meat.

Favorite flower.
Gerbera
Worst flower.
They are all pretty for sure. It is nature.

Favorite band or singer.
David, Tocotronic, Beatsteaks, Minus the Bear, Ash, Refused, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Suede, The Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins, Mew, Robbie Williams, Die Sterne, Death Cab For Cutie, Muse.
Oh, and my favorite boy band was Take That. But they are not America-famous. David never heard of them.
Worst band or singer.
Andrea Berg. A German Schlager-singer. My Dad likes her music. It is awful. And every song sounds the same.

Favorite TV show from my childhood.
The Snorks. Pumuckl.
I don't think that there was a show I hated as a child.

Favorite computer game.
Maniac Mansion, ZakMcKracken, Day of the Tentacle. Fantastic games from the 80s/90s. The Sims.
Worst computer game.
I can't play any shooting games. As I said, my hands are too shaky.

Favorite fruit.
I really like all kinds of fruits. But I guess I would say cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, peach.
Worst fruit.
I have read about a fruit that smells really bad but tastes fantastic. Has anybody ever tried it?

Favorite beauty product.
Nailpolish. I have soooo many.
Worst beauty product.
Anything tested on animals.

Okay, I guess that's enough for now. What are your favorite things? What things do you hate? Anything else you want to know?
Have a lovely Saturday!
