A baby turtle, a ducky sweater and metal cats. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

it is Tuesday which means that I am linking up with lovely Alyssa. I hope you are all having a fantastic week.

1. You can all help ending the horrible Canadian baby seal slaughter by signing this petition. I guess we all agree how wrong it is.

2. I love how this cat greets her/his owner. Way to go cat. Found on Cute Overload

3. I am trying to win the lottery. Wish me good luck.

4. If you want to see some metal musicians and their cats you can go here. Love to see some mean looking guys being all cuddly with their feline family members.

5. This is way too cute not to share. Also found on Cute Overload.

6. I am really trying to eat healthy and I eat my fruits and veggies every single day but right now I am craving all kinds of unhealthy stuff. Vegan fondant eggs, sugary almond milk cappuccino, chips, marzipan, gummi bears....

7. It might sound weird but it is so much fun to watch bunnies eat. It really is. They always look hilarious.

8. I am absolutely and totally and completely in love with this fantastic sweater.

9. I am thinking about baking a carrot cake but I have never made one before so I wanted to ask if you guys have a favorite recipe? It does not matter if it is vegan or not, I can "veganize" it. I would really appreciate it a lot!

10. I can't stop listening to "Hungry Heart" by Bruce Springsteen. I guess I am weird.

Have a fantastic week! Thanks for reading!

  4. Hi, Katrin! Thanks for sharing the cat video and the heavy metal musicians showing their kitty cats, haha! :p Dimitri usually greets me quite affectionately when he's outside and sees me come. He'd speak a lot and then roll, walk, roll, walk, roll till we make it to the stairs that lead to our house, hehe.

Thank you, also, for having recommended the Rosie Project! ;) I'll check it out after I finish reading the one I'm reading right now. I also wanted to ask you for another recommendation, I really want to read a book by an Icelander and I know you're the expert! ;) Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced!

Have a very happy hump day!

    Hugs!

    1. Aww, Dimitri is such a sweetheart! That sounds so cute! My cats are pretty affectionate as well but they have never greeted me like the cat in the video. Haha. But they do love to talk!

Let me know what you think about The Rosie Project when you read it. I really think that you will enjoy it as well. The main character is so weird and hilarious!

Hmm, I have to say that I have only read Icelandic crime novels so far but no other Icelandic fiction. I do recommend Arnaldur Indridason. His crime novels are my favorites. I also love to read Yrsa Sigurdardottir, she also writes crime novels but they are usually also a bit "supernatural".

And thank you, if I win then I will buy us a lot of crazy cat lady stuff! :)
      Hugs!

    The duck jumper is hilarious.

I have a carrot cake recipe... I'll look it up for you tonight, if I remember.

  7. I have been eating all sort of crap :((
I used to bake carrot cake a lot.
    I use the simple way.
    (do you eat eggs?)
    If you dont then

beat 1 cup curd and sugar
add flour 1 cup, baking powder 1 tsp, milk 1/2 cup, oil 1/2 cup

add grated carrots about 1 cup

    bake for 40 mins.

    :)

    1. Thank you so much for the recipe! I will give that a try! I do not eat eggs but I can always replace them when a recipe asks for them.
Can't wait to try some carrot cake! :)

  8. Oh! I've got to check my lottery ticket too, there was huge jackpot last weekend!

  9. Good luck on the lottery! Think of all the books you could buy, and the animals you could rescue!

Those metal cats are awesome. Even scary looking guys like fuzzy animals.

I'm struggling with the sweets right now too but I'm telling myself it will get better once it warms up a little and fruit is available. Right now there isn't much on the store shelves and what is there isn't terribly tasty. So it's hard to swap in fruit for my other sweets!

    1. Thank you, Martha! I am hoping to win very soon! And then I will buy all books and rescue all animals!

I love the fact that these mean looking guys love to cuddle with their cats. :)

I agree on the fresh stuff. I feel really bad right now. I mean, I am trying to eat as many fruits and veggies as possible but I also eat so many sweets. I really need to stop. But I made some cookies today and now I can't stop eating!

      Have a happy Easter weekend!

  11. Seal slaughter? I really wanna give up on humankind :( I can't believe what people are capable of doing! Thank you for always helping us do something against it!
Oh my gosh, that cat greeting its owner is so cute. Molli was beside me sleeping and when the meowing in the video started, he jerked his head up, looking for the cat LOL
He usually comes up to me and makes a certain loving sound to say hello whenever I come home :)
The metal musicians and their cats are awesome! And I LOVE that turtle picture :)
I've been so into sweets this past week, too ;) And I enjoyed it after 6 weeks of Lent withou sweets :D
Bunnies are hilarious when they eat! :) Love that sweater! And carrot cake sounds fantastic to me.
I have to check out that song :)
Ich drück Dich sooooo dolle, liebste Katrin :)

    1. Yep, I really don't get how people are able to do something horrible like that. I just don't understand and it makes me so angry!
Haha Molli's reaction is so funny. :) I can absolutely picture that. But the cat in the video really is fabulous! My cats make sounds too but nothing like that!
Oh, I can imagine that you needed lots of sweets after 6 weeks of Lent!
Ich drueck Dich nochmal ganz ganz dolle, meine Liebe! <3

  13. If you like ducks, you'd love my little Texas town. We have a small park along the river that caters to ducks and along the road next to it are 'Beware of Crossing Ducks' signs. And the pub across the street is called, The Dodging Duck. It's amazing the traffic that one little duck that wanders into the road can cause... we all take our time to help it get safely out of the way. It's so funny!

    1. Oh wow, that sounds like my kind of place. I love ducks. I helped a couple over the street a while ago. If I would live in your Texas town I would probably watch birds all day long and then go to that pub to have some drinks in the evening. Love that you all help the ducks!
