Random Thursday. Five things you didn't know about me....

Hallo meine Lieben,

how is your week going? I hope it is fantastic! I am feeling a bit under the weather this week but I hope I will get over it soon. Maybe I just need some chocolate because chocolate always makes you feel better. Today's words of wisdom.

So here you go. Five things that you did not know about me before.

Number 1.

When I was a child I totally looked like a boy. It was horrible. I only liked boys' stuff.  No barbies or things like that. I had one Barbie doll and I cut off her hair and dyed the rest of it green. I loved getting dirty, playing with my He-Man action figures and I had short hair. I still like He-Man but now I also like girls' stuff like make-up, shoes, clothes etc.

Number 2.

2. I don't like my legs. Not at all. I always have bruises and my knees look like soccer player knees. So I never wear shorts. Also one of my legs is longer than the other one. Which you can't really see but I know it.

Number 3.

The smell of incense makes me really sick and one time I passed out because of it in church.

Number 4.

I love to wake up in the middle of the night and watch TV or read a book. It is a great feeling to wake up and know that you can stay in bed for another couple of hours. I also  like to start eating candy in the middle of the night. The only annoying thing is that I have to get up and brush my teeth again.

Number 5.

My favorite movie as a child was Pretty Woman (still love it) although I had no idea what Vivian Ward's job was. I just thought she was poor and Edward Lewis rich.

And now I am curious: please share some things that I did not know about you before!
And have a fantastic weekend!

  1. I also love waking up in the middle of the night to read! I'm disappointed if I sleep in. That's funny that you didn't know what Vivian's job was! Can you believe I've never watched that movie? I should probably rent it sometime.

I don't like my legs either--they have so many bruises and scars on them! Well, can't win 'em all.

    1. I am disappointed too when I sleep in!
I think I was really young when I watched the movie the first time and did not really know what a prostitute is. :) You should definitely watch it, it is pretty entertaining!

Sorry you don't like your legs either! But you are so beautiful, I would not worry about them! :)

  2. haha I also dislike my legs! They're too short and my calves are more footballer than ladylike. Anyway, too late to change it so I´d better learn to live with it.

Oh, and great words of wisdom, chocolate can definitely make anything better. Just like a good and warm cup of tea :)

Hope you're feeling better, Katrin <3

    1. Seems like a lot of people dislike their legs! Sorry you feel the same way about them! But I guess we are able to live with our legs. :) I am fine with everything else and I am sure you are too!

I agree on the tea, Irene! :) Have a fantastic weekend! <3

  3. Hi Katrin!

Interesting post! Instead, I love incense sticks esp Jasmine and Sandalwood ones, they are a major part of our prayers (Puja) in India!

'Pretty Woman' was like fairy tale and just loved it!!

One interesting thing about me is that I love reading Katrin's blog!

    :)

    1. Hello Ankita,
I do love the incense sticks in general...when they have a nice smell. I just don't like the smell of that incense stuff they use in church!

Glad you love Pretty Woman as much as I do!

Aww, you are so sweet! Thank you so much!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

  4. I think it's a little ironic that you didn't like Barbies as a kid, but you kind of look like one now. :o) Every time I see your cute, blonde profile picture, it reminds me of Barbie!

One of my legs is slightly longer than the other, too! No one else would ever be able to tell, but it always confuses the lady who hems my pants because she can't make both sides equal - one has to be a bit longer!

    1. Haha, you made me laugh. It is so funny that my profile picture reminds you of Barbie because I am so not barbie-like at all. :) Plus my hair is not that blonde anymore.

Funny that your leg is longer too! I can imagine that it is difficult for that woman! :) But yeah, you can't really see that mine is longer than the other one either!

  5. The smell of insence makes me sick too! I'm glad I'm not the only one!

  6. I love chocolate too and reading about you being a tom boy as a young child reminded me of my sister - everyone thought she was a boy and she only played with boys... Now she's a blond, blue-eyed girly girl. :)

  7. I love how many things we have in common :) I did tend to look like a boy, too and I loved playing with cars as much as with Barbie ;)
The smell of incense in church makes me sick, too!
Eating chocolate in bed in the middle of the night sounds perfect to me :)
And Pretty Woman sure is an amazing movie.
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend, sweet Katrin.

Glad I am not the only one who hates that church smell.
I hope your week will be great and you are doing fine!

I do love pretty woman too.

  9. That's such a cool post ....
Legs are always tricky for all of us, I hate my blains on my thighs, that's horrible ... but I guess your husband and everybody else tell you that you have great legs!!
With the incense for me it depends on the type sometimes I can't stand it at all sometimes it makes a great atmosphere.
Well as Zotter chocolate lover what shall I say .... the best time for a byte is during the night or evening ;)
    Stay as you are !!

    1. I am glad you like my post! :) Thanks so much for visiting! It means a lot!
I guess my husband likes my legs, he can see them. :) I just don't feel good about going out with shorts etc.
I mean that I don't like the smell of Weihrauch, there are some other incense sticks that smell good but Weihrauch is just blah.
Oh I know Zotter. I ate that stuff a lot before I went vegan but I do think they have some vegan options. But they also have some really weird flavors like mustard or blood, right? But I do love chocolate a lot!

  11. Hahaha, that's so cute that you did not know what Vivian did for a living :p!

I agree about the incense, although I've never passed out because of it :O. And I kinda like the smell of Japanese incense, the one that's used to honor the dead on special occasions.

And yes! I tend to wake up in the middle of the night and eat, too, hehe :/.

    1. Yeah well, I was really young and I did not know anything about prostitution at all. :)

Glad you agree on the incense. It is such a horrible smell. I would like to smell this Japanese incense though. Sounds interesting!

Another middle of the night eater. :)
      Hugs!

  13. My legs are always banged up as well. Just once I would like to wear shorts without having a big bruise or scrape or something on them.
Incense gives me a massive headache! I'm very sensitive to smells and incense is one I just cannot handle!

    1. Glad you agree on everything. I just don't feel comfortable showing my legs, it is kind of sad! I would like to be able too!
I am sorry you are so sensitive to smells! :( That must be really annoying!
