New Year's plans and hopes. Random Thursday.
Hallo meine Lieben,
I hope you all survived Christmas and got some nice presents. I also hope that your holidays were not stressful at all, you got some good food and you laughed a lot.
I am linking up with some wonderful ladies....
... and the topic is...
To be honest I haven't really thought about this topic yet.
I have never really been a fan of huge New Year's Eve parties so my evening is usually pretty relaxed. There is one thing that I do every New Year's Eve. It is a tradition and it never gets old.

Dinner for one. I don't know if that's popular outside of Europe (David did not know it.) but I watched it the first time when I was a kid with your parents and I never stopped laughing about it. I watch it at least twice every New Year's Eve and I laugh as much as I did the first time. It is just hilarious. Please, watch it if you don't know it. You won't regret it.
So yeah, this is a must every year. Same procedure as every year, James.
As for plans....hmm...well, I guess the usual. Be succesful, earn money, be nice to people, be a good person and so on.
But there are some little things that I want to get better at in 2013.
I want to get more involved again in animal rights acitivism. I miss doing that. I would love to be able to offer a dog a new home. And a blind cat. That would be my dream. I would love to go to more demos, write more about animal rights, donate more money. Things like that.

I also want to find more time to be creative. I miss that too. I just don't have much time right now, not even in the evening. But I need to make some time for that because it makes me feel good. I want to sew my own clothes, I want to build my own book shelf, write a book...things like that.

I want to spend lots of quality time with David, the pets and my loved ones. I just want to try to be as happy as I can.
What are your plans and hopes for the year 2013?
Enjoy the last days of 2012!
Ive never heard of that movie either but a movie night sounds way better than a night out at a crazy busy bar with a bunch of drunks.
ReplyDeleteVolunteering for a good cause is definitely something I need to work on too. Its been too long since I did something like that. Getting creative? Love it. Learning to sew would be so cool. The best I can do is a button haha.
It is just a short movie, probably 10 minutes long but it is very entertaining and funny to watch. Even after years and years of watching it over and over. :)
DeleteI'm ringing in the New Year with my mom and my husband's family at a small restaurant in our village so we'll be out but without all of the hassle of going 'out out'. I'm looking forward to it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm gong to have to check out that movie though.
That sounds like a night I would like too! No big NYE parties. :) Have fun!
DeleteThe movie is really funny and it is very short. So I hope you enjoy it, it is a classic in Germany.
Oh I have really not thought about this yet, but I do like your picks!
ReplyDeleteI am going out for New Years for the first time in a while, normally I don't enjoy it because of the drunk people and fireworks.
Glad you like it! I really don't care that much about NYE.
DeleteAnd I can totally understand that you don't like it but I hope you will have a fun night anyway!
Dinner for One is totally a German thing - I will need to watch it! Have a happy New Year! And adopt one of those pets :D !
ReplyDeleteHehe, hopefully I will be able to do it soon!
DeleteAnd yeah, I guess the movie is totally a German thing. :) Enjoy it!
Great plans! Go and adopt a dog (or cat or both), that will be a win-win situation (for you and the dog)! Love your passion for animal rights! =)
ReplyDeleteIt would definitely be a win-win situation! :) Can't wait!
DeleteI never make plans for the new year. I think it's too much pressure but it's still good to have some general idea of what you want to do. right now, I'm just hoping no more hurricanes.
ReplyDeletehave a great new year!
I really hope there won't be any more hurricanes!More than enough!
DeleteI hope you will have a wonderful 2013, Lissa!
