I confess....

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. It is pretty cold over here but thankfully it's not raining so I can enjoy a nice walk in the woods. I just need to make sure to wear lots of layers. It's gloves and scarves time!
Sunday is also a great day for confessions. So here we go.

Confession #1.

I really am a book hoarder. The things is that I would never sell one of my books. I keep all of them. Which means that I still have all the books I got since my childhood. Plus all the books my Mom ever bought. And she loved reading as much as I do. I don't have space for all the books so some are in boxes in my Dad's house. I am glad that I am able to store them there. All my books are spread over two continents. I love every single one of them and at some point in my life I want to be able to have all of them in my huge library in my old castle.

Confession #2.

It is so sad that it does not even shock me anymore how ignorant and selfish and unwilling to help lots of people are. Sad sad world. But then it surprises me when they are people who care for each other, offer to help and are compassionate. There are just not many of them.

Confession #3.

Last night I woke up at 3 am so I started to watch an episode of "What Not To Wear". It was so relaxing and enjoyable that I am planning to do that more often.

Confession #4.

I am so excited for the return of The Walking Dead. I really missed seeing Daryl Dixon in action.

Do you have anything to confess? Have a fabulous Sunday!

  1. Where are you at right now? Back to the U.S. or Germany? Right now it's a bit warm here in Buenos Aires, it's their "spring time", about low 70s, but gloomy.

    1. I used to a book hoarder when I was a kid. I never let things go. But when I have my Kindle, I was happy I didn't need to pack and carry books whilst traveling. I would love to see some photos of your book collections...I find book shelves gorgeous!

    2. I've read a lot of articles about these kinds of people...mostly in China. One of the articles was a Chinese toddler being ran over by a truck and no one helped that kid, except for the compassionate homeless lady. I've seen selfless homeless people playing with feral cats earlier that week!

    3. I was up until midnight, ugh, it was the first time I have stayed up late since I got here! I was a bit annoyed with mosquitoes...and I have 6 big ones on my left arm! I wish I have brought my repellent!

    4. I only like Daryl Dixon so far...probably the most intellingent person on that TV show. I feel like the tv show is slowing everything down with dramas. I hope it will improve. I only liked their first season, there was a lot of actions going on.

    Have a great Sunday!

Hmmmm confessions? There are a few since my arrival here...

    1. I cannot SHOP here anymore! I hate grocery shopping here! Most groceries & bakeries increase & change their prices due to inflation and their currency is getting weaker. I don't know if I can trust all of them. Plus, the inventories are poorly managed and sold out for weeks!

    2. I am excited to catch up with more new episodes of The Sleepy Hollow, Scandal, Wrong Mans, etc.

    3. How palm oil is so hard to fight...I've been reading articles about it and the injured orangutans. I wish I have the money to stop this cheap production!

    4. I have mosquito bites...so far 14 of them. I've never expected mosquito bites here in Buenos Aires! I have to bring my repellent everywhere I go!

    1. I love my kindle too! It is great for traveling. But I still don't want to stop buying regular books, they just feel different and I love to see my books in the shelves. :)

That story about China is horrible. I can't understand why people are like that. It makes me so sad.

Daryl Dixon is definitely the best part of the show!

That sounds so stupid about the grocery shopping there! I can understand that it is not much fun to shop there!

I wanted to check out Sleepy Hollow too! I assume it is good!

I really wish I had the money to stop this cheap production too. It makes me sad and angry and I don't know what else!

14 mosquito bites? You poor thing! I am so sorry! I always have a strong reaction to those bites, It gets really bad!

Thanks so much for sharing your confessions, Rika! Have a great week!

    2. Hi Katrin!

In my language, Hindi, there is no formal word for good afternoon and good evening. However, for wishing good morning we say 'Su Prabhat' where 'Su' means Good and 'Prabhat' means morning. For wishing a good night, we say 'Subh Ratri'. 'Subh' means auspicious and 'Ratri' means night.

      :)

    1. Some people are really horrible. I don't understand how they can be like that. I don't have the time to read all the books either but that does not stop me from buying new ones! :) Long walks are the best! :)
      Have a great week! Hugs!

  9. Wow..I bet you've got a great collection! You really could have your own library in your house...or castle. ;o) I love buying used books and that's become a problem since moving to London because there is nowhere to put them!

    1. I guess I really need a castle for all the books. Haha. There are so many but there are all not in one place. Most of them are in Germany, lots of my books in America. Hope you can find some more space for your books!

  13. It is so sad that we are more surprised by nice behavior than by shockingly horrible behavior :(
Maybe if we all do our part, that will change :)

    1. Yeah, it is really sad that we are getting used to horrible behavior. I always try to do my best to be kind and help others and hope that people will behave the same way. But lots of them don't. :(

  15. You totally need a castle full of books! I try not to buy any since we have limited space, and just borrow them from the library instead. If I really love something I'll buy it though so I can reread it to death :D

    1. I totally need one, that's for sure. I should probably borrow the books too because of limited space but the problem is that I always want to own them. So bad!
