A spooky holiday.

Hallo meine Lieben,

hope you are enjoying your weekend! Halloween is by far my favorite holiday of the year, I love everything about it. Plus nobody kills innocent turkeys for this holiday. Which is why I decided to share some of my favorite spooky items with you.

Vegan Halloween candy.

\

I love the fact that there is such a wide variety of vegan products out there now. You can even get vegan Halloween candy which makes the holiday even more special. I mean, everybody loves candy.

Count Cat-cula sweater.

A sweater with a black bat-cat. I don't think I need to say more.

Bat tights.

I guess it is not a secret how much I love bats so these are perfect. And they keep your feet warm which is always a plus for me.

Edgar Allen Poe tote.

It's always a good time to read Edgar Allen Poe but I guess Halloween is perfect.

A bat on a branch.

Because it's a bat and because it looks cool. Enough said.

Gluten free and vegan mummy cookies.

Because cookies that look like mummies taste even better.

A feline dress.

It is a dress and there are black cats on it (and some white ones). So I love it.

Bat socks.

I really really like bats.

Halloween movies.

Including Addams Family, Idle Hands, Halloween (duh), Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Casper, The Corpse Bride, Friday the 13th, Monster House, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, ....

Costumes.

Dressing up is so much fun.

Anything pumpkin.

I cannot even describe how much I want to try this. I love pumpkin and pumpkin body butter sounds perfect to me.

What do you love about Halloween?

  1. Oh, I like that tote!!

I really don't celebrate Halloween, or any holiday actually (although the social pull of xmas is very strong). I do like dressing up but never seem to find time for that kind of thing!

I do not celebrate any other holiday either. I am just not a fan. I know what you mean, I never find the time to dress up but it surely is fun!

    1. The holiday is not so popular in Germany either but it surely is in America. It is a lot of fun to go to haunted houses and I do love all the decoration! The Addams Family is hilarious! Need to watch the movie again!

  3. I love Halloween too. It was never big on my list but having kids changes things a bit and now I love getting into the spirit. This year we are even having a Halloween party. Kind of a combined birthday party for the kids - I've always wanted to do this. We'll see how it goes. :)

  6. I enjoy Halloween too (at least the non-scary side of Halloween) but I still have to say that Christmas is my favorite holiday. :-)

    1. I guess most people love Christmas more. I liked it a lot as a kid but not so much anymore (after my mom died).

    1. Hi Ankita,
what I wanted to say is that I prefer Halloween over Thanksgiving because for that holiday millions of turkeys will get killed to be eaten.
Glad you like the things on my list! :)

  11. Well, being British we don't go so much for Halloween as everywhere else, but it's getting bigger each year!! Love the tights :) I bought some glittery pumpkin hair slides to wear to work :)

  12. Those mummy cookies are adorable. My favourite part about Halloween is probably the utter scariness and spookiness. It used to legitimately freak me out but now I delight in it all

  13. What are you going to be for Halloween? I didn’t know there are special Halloween treats by Surf Sweets, that’s awesome! That’s ton of lovely Hallowen-style accessories from Mod Cloth, I haven’t shopped there forever. I love Halloween for its variety of candies, hehe!
