Ten On Tuesday. Kohlrabi, a vampire slayer and a good fat.

Hallo meine Lieben,

how's your week going? I hope it is full of sunshine and happiness!
I am linking up with Lin, you can join the Ten On Tuesday fun here.

1.  My latest food addiction is Kohlrabi Schnitzel. So yummy, vegan and easy to make. I want to eat them every day.

2. I was surprised to hear that you can use the word "Kohlrabi" in English too. You can also say "cabbage turnip" but I don't know if it is very common.

3. I rediscovered my love for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".  I am watching season 2 right now. It is fun to see my favorite characters Spike, Oz and Giles again.

4. It is weird to see David Boreanaz as Angel after you've seen him as Agent Booth in Bones. I need to figure out if he is more of a vampire or FBI agent.

5.  I love to eat potatoes (I am pretty sure every German does) but I hate peeling them. I should hire a potato peeler. I would probably eat potatoes every single day if I would not have to peel them.

6. I am refusing to drink out of jars. They are for marmalade.

7.  This tote bag rocks.

8. I don't know if somebody told this kid to say these things or if he is just really smart...but that is pretty awesome.

9. All the time I have preferred wearing contact lenses but right now I am absolutely in love with glasses. I just think it is time for a new pair. I already found a really cute one I adore.

10. My mean word of the week is "miscellaneous" because I have no idea how to say it. I never use it. Never ever.  I am glad you can easily replace it.

I hope you enjoy your week, lovelies!

  1. 1. You MUST post a recipe!

    5. I don't peel mine. From eatright.org: "Potato skin contains B vitamins, vitamin C, iron, calcium, potassium and other nutrients. Potato skin also provides lots of fiber, about 2 grams per ounce. If you eat a medium baked potato, including the skin, you'll get nearly 4 grams of fiber, 2 milligrams of iron and 926 grams of potassium. Be sure to wash the potato well and remove any obvious blemishes before cooking."

    8. Awesomeness!

    10. I say "random" or "assorted". Especially if I have to write it, because my spelling isn't that swell!

    1. 1. Okay, I will. It is so easy to make! And delicious!
      5. I love to roast them in a pan and that is when I peel them. But you are right, the skin is very healthy so I should probably eat it all the time. I like them with peel. :)
      10. Glad I am not the only one who avoids it!

  2. Mmmm I like Kohlrabi! Yum! Haha I love that you refuse to drink out of jars. It is kind of a blogger thing isn't it? Though I must confess we do do it at my place.... We always end up with lots in our cupboard and I am terrible for breaking glasses. ~Stephanie

    1. Hehe, yeah, I guess it is a blogger thing. I just think it is so uncomfortable and not very practical to drink out of them! :) I always break glasses too by the way! :)

    1. Yeah, I would say so too! He is more convincing as an FBI agent!

I should definitely look for an electric peeler! I haven't even thought about that! I think you just saved me! :)

I feel the same way about the glasses. I will wait a little longer until I can afford the glasses of my dreams!

  11. #3 - I did watched the series but I always turns away when Angel or anyone turns into a vampire, I think I like the rumor the best and the characters Oz and Xander - they make the show fun

#5 - me too, although I think actually like peeling potatoes, don't know why that is

#9 - never tried contact lenses, I have always felt the idea of having something in your eyes strange, I'm a big fan of eyeglasses but never could find a pair that really fit -- I have a small face

#10 - I always have a problem spelling the word, although I rarely have to say it out loud

-- hope you have as sweet day.

    1. I agree, Oz and Xander are awesome! Drusilla is a bit annoying at first. The show really is a lot of fun, I think it is a great mixture of action, comedy, horror, romance!

You could come over and peel my potatoes! Funny that you like that!

I was sceptical about the contact lenses at first too but you get used to it really quick. But I do love glasses a lot and that is why I wear them more often now.

I rarely say it out loud too and it is so mean to spell it!

  12. I always get my husband to peel the potatoes for me because I suck at it.
P.S. I'll be watching Buffy today while I do the ironing, thanks for reminding me how awesome the show is :)
