Ten On Tuesday. Passing out, a mean word and a sleepy kitty.

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope your week is filled with sunshine and happiness. It's time for another Ten On Tuesday post. You can link up here.

1. My mean English word of the week is "awkward". It always sounds awkward when I say it. So I handle it the same way I handle the other mean words: I try to avoid is as much as I can.

2. I have a tendency to pass out at concerts. I don't know, I just can't handle the sticky air, all the people around me etc.

3. I passed out at an Oasis concert for the first time. I was over ten years ago. I went to Cologne with a couple of friends and we were so excited to be in second row. I was a little sick that day and did not eat  very much. At some point I realized that I did not feel that great and said "Oh no" to my friends and then I felt that they grabbed me. The next thing I remember is that I woke up head first hanging over the shoulder of a security guy. Luckily it happened before Oasis even started to play so I did not miss the concert.

4. I also passed out at a Franz Ferdinand concert. Again, I realized that I did not feel that great and told my friends to stay where they are (we had a good spot) and went to the bar. I ordered a water, drank one sip and then woke up laying on the bar with a lot of afraid looking people staring at me. They brought me to the paramedics who told me that I am the first one for that day. I said "yay!" and got something to drink and eat.  I was lucky again because I did not miss a minute of the concert. At least I have a good timing.

5. I am still waiting for my package full of books to arrive. Hurry up, mail!

6. I have a new TV show addiction. I started to watch "Raising Hope" a couple of days ago and I have to say that I love the Chance family. They are hilarious. I want to move in with them.

7.  This cat feels the same way I do every morning.

8. Country music is pretty popular in America but I realized that I don't know any of the famous singers.

9. I want to learn how to play piano, how to do magic and how to not be afraid of deep water.

10.  I always get hungry at midnight.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. That's crazy that you've passed out at so many concerts. Maybe it's a sign you shouldn't be going to concerts. ;-)

  3. #2 : you do have good timing. I don't know if I would have stayed for the concert but hey, there's never a wrong time to enjoy music especially when it's live.

#7 : yeah, that's me too except, I'm pretty sure I don't look that cute.

#8: Really? I didn't know that as I don't care much for country music.

#9: me too about the music though, not about magic or deep water, though I do not know how to swim which I think it's terrible but then again, it's not like I ever want to go swimming anyway. it's funny that my zodaci sign is a water sign - aquarius, that always surpises me

#10: I would be too if I'm ever awake.

hope you have a sweet tuesday.

    1. Well, I felt fine after I passed out so there was no reason to leave. :)
In Germany I have never heard about all the country singers who are pretty famous in America. Not many people care for that kind of music in Europe.
My zodiac sign is a water sign too (cancer) but I am so scared of deep water! I never go swimming either.

      have a sweet day!

  5. That sounds so scary- the passing out part! I have never passed out and it would freak me out so completely, and also if one of my friends passed out! Can you avoid it somehow or is it just one of those things that follows you with your concert ticket?

    1. I always make sure to eat and drink enough before I go to a concert. Most times things go fine but when I start feeling bad then I always go and get something to drink. Plus I always carry some candy with me. That helps.

  6. I passed out once and woke up in hospital, and they had already done an xray of my skull while I was unconscious! It was scary...but I am glad I wan't in a huge crowd at the time!

    Did your books arrive yet?
Awww, love that cat - I feel like this, too, always pushing the snooze button on my alarm ;)
And I get hungry at midnight, too - especially when I come home from a party or sth late at night I need to eat :D

  10. Wow, that's weird that you keep passing out at concerts! Too much excitement I guess. But you have great timing :)

    1. Yeah, I really don't know what the problem is. I guess it is the combination of too many people around me and sticky air!

I am like that kitty too!

  11. I passed out in an oasis concert, too! I think that's the only time I passed out in a concert. Although I almost die in one; I swear I felt I was going to die, haha! My glasses fell on the floor as the crowd was jumping hard, I tried to pick them up and I almost never stood back up again.

    1. Interesting you also passed out at an Oasis concert! But your story sounds terrifying, mine is just stupid! I am really glad you were fine!

  12. It's too bad the security guard didn't take you back stage at the Oasis concert to recover. Seeing Noel definitely would have made me feel better :)

    1. Oh yeah, that would have been great. :) Unfortunately I was only allowed to see a doctor.
