Ten On Tuesday. Let's talk about food, stereotypes and some other things.

Hallo meine Lieben,

how is your week going? I hope it is fantastic! It is time for another Ten On Tuesday. You can link up with Alyssa here.

1. I got some vegan whipped cream which tastes so good that I basically put it on almost everything. I guess it is normal to freak out a bit when you find the vegan version of something that you have not tried before.

2. I really like to talk about food.

3. I want this for Thanksgiving, please. Save the poor turkeys!

4. I got so addicted to the show Criminal Minds that I don't even want to watch much else. That show is so fantastic....the cases, the characters, everything. I really have no idea why I did not start to watch this show earlier.

5. I am way behind on all the other shows I watch just because I watch Criminal Minds every free minute that I can spare.

6. If you would have to choose between potatoes, pasta and rice and you could only eat one of them for the rest of your life, what would you choose? It's though but I would probably choose the potatoes and cry because I would not be able to eat pasta anymore.

7. I wonder if the stereotype that all Germans love potatoes is true. All Germans I know do. But who does not love potatoes? Do you know a person who does not eat potatoes?
I must be really hungry because I can't stop talking about food.

8. Speaking of stereotypes... This map is pretty entertaining but I would not agree on all the things. Sadly my home state is so unimportant that they don't even mention anything about it on the map.

9. This is Europe according to the Americans by the way.

10. I can't survive without blankets, scarves, gloves, hot water bottles and tea.

Have a wonderful Tuesday! Thanks for reading!

    1. Hi Ankita! Potatoes are soooo yummy! Can't get enough of them! I need my warm clothes too, it is getting really cold here! How cold is it over there?

    2. Here, at this point, the temp is around 19 degrees Celsius with probability of light rain showers :)

    3. That's pretty warm! It is 7 degrees celsius over here right now! What's the coldest it gets in your hometown? Sorry, so many questions! :)

    4. In winters, the lowest we get is around 2-3 degrees Celsius and in summers, the temp rises upto 46-47 degrees Celcius! I can manage winters but just I hate summers of northern India :P

Come on Katrin, please don't say sorry :)

    5. Okay, thanks Ankita! :)
Oh wow, that is really hot in summer! How do you deal with that? I did not know it gets that cold in India! Thanks for teaching me!

    6. ya that's really hot! I can't tell you how much I despise this season :X
The temperature in Delhi moves in extremes, too chilly in winters and too hot in summers.

      :)

    7. I can imagine. I would not like that either! I still want to travel to India at some point though. :))

  3. Criminal Minds is so good! My favourite is Dr. Spencer Reid. Great character. And if I had to choose..... I think I would choose pasta. Followed closely by potatoes. ~Stephanie

    1. I love Dr. Reid too! I haven't even seen that much of the show yet but I am so happy to know that he is still a part of the show in season 9! :) It is really though to choose between pasta and potatoes! :)

  4. Oh, I had a criminal minds addiction for ages, and a huge crush on Spencer!!

Its so cold, I had my gloves on today for the first time since last May!

    1. He is the best character of the show. I am not a fan of his haircut in season 1 but I love everything else about him!

I think I need to start wearing my gloves too!

  5. You've got me all hungry now! I really want to make some more vegan spaghetti and meatballs. I guess that means that I would choose pasta :) It's the Italian in me!

That map is hilarious. Have you seen the one of America as seen by Europe? It's all Texas, with a sliver of California on one end and New York on the other. :P Not entirely true, maybe, but pretty fair from the way we act on the world stage sometimes (okay, a lot of the time).

I know what you mean about being hooked on a TV show! We're totally addicted to Heroes right now. But so many of the characters keep making really, really dumb decisions, which makes me hate them. :P It's almost enough to make you cheer for the bad guy.

    1. Oh wow, now I want to eat some spaghetti with meatballs too! Do you make them yourself or do you buy the meatballs? I guess you have no other choice then to pick pasta then. :)

Haha, no I have not seen that map but I guess that is how lots of people see it. Guns, NY and Los Angeles. :) I really love these maps, they are so entertaining!

I have never seen Heroes, I have to check it out! Sometimes it is a lot of fun to cheer for the bad guys! :)

  6. Hahaha I can't help but love the stereotype maps.

And I think 50% of what comes out of my mouth when I speak is about food.

    1. Yeah, they are so awesome!

Haha, I am glad I am not the only one who talks about food all the time. Or thinks about it!

  7. I'd choose pasta if I had to choose. And those steryotype maps are pretty horrible/funny. ;-)

  9. You've mentioned hot water bottles enough times that I should have asked by now, but just what do you do with a hot water bottle?

I love potatoes, but I would have chosen the pasta. :o)

    1. It is a tough decision! I love pasta and potatoes a lot! :)

I always put the hot water bottle under my blanket when I go to bed or watch something on the couch. And then it warms my feet. :) If I am really cold then I use two and put one on my stomach too. :) I am always cold!

  10. It'd be a TOUGH choice between mashed potatoes and fried rice. I'm really glad I don't have to make that decision.
What's vegan whipped cream made out of? Coconut or soy milk? Does it get as thick as regular whipped cream? I'm very interested in this apparently.

    1. It really is a tough decision and I am also happy that I don't have to make it! :)
The whipped cream is made of soy milk and coconut fat. It has the same texture than "regular" whipped cream. I don't think that you would notice a difference. It really tastes awesome!

    2. I think they have different types...some are made of rice milk or coconut milk!

  13. I'd pick potatoes! You can use them to make gnocchi and Schupnudeln, which are almost like pasta ;-) And giving up mashed potatoes, roast potatoes and Bratkartoffeln is not possible! I would miss having rice with my curry though.

    1. Yeah, you are right. I have not thought about gnocchi and Schupfnudeln. :) I also love Knödel! :) I could never give up Bratkartoffeln! They are just too good! But I agree on the curry...

Hehe, you can change your answer! It really is a tough decision. I am glad that I don't have to make it! Pasta is so good but I could never give up my potatoes!

  16. Potatoes or pasta... so tricky! I first I thought pasta, but I know I would miss the perfectness of a salty french fry.
I'm going to have to start watching Criminal Minds now because if you love it, I know I will. I've been on a Law & Order SVU kick lately, I've been watching it from the beginning. I'm only on season three now so it's great because since they're so many, I'll be watching it forever!!!

  18. Was the vegan whipped cream by Soyatoo!? Are you back in the U.S. and have you been to Trader Joe’s lately? I found a frozen breaded turkey-less stuffed roast with gravy..and I plan to try it this weekend. Agreed with #6 - potatoes all the way! Haha Spain as in Mexico? I totally agree!
