A happy pig, room for my books and an obsession. {Ten On Tuesday}

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Tuesday. I hope you are all doing great. You can link up with Alyssa here

1. I am not happy with my blog right now. I do not feel like I treat it the way it deserves. The problem is: time. I want to change the design and there are so many things I want to talk about, so many things I want to share. My life has been a bit crazy lately and I did not find the time and energy to do all the things I want. I really hope that this will change soon. I want to tell you more about why I am vegan, what I eat, why I eat what I eat and why I love animals so much. I want to share some more fashion posts with you. I want to share my DIY's. You know I love to cook but I rarely share any recipes. I want to change this. I want to talk more about things that are important to me. I want to do book reviews....so many things to do. But I really really want to improve my blog. Please be patient and stick with me. What would you like to read more about?

2. I can't even put into words how much I hate poachers. Please read this saddening story. Cruel practices like that have to stop.

3. Here is something to make you feel good. Found on Cute Overload.

4. I really hope at some point in my life I will be able to run my own farm sanctuary and give animals in need a new home.

5. My guilty pleasure True Blood is back. I am excited.

6. I am really obsessed with ice cream right now which is why I really feel the need to buy an ice cream machine. My friend Rooth feels the same way. Today I had some raspberry and rhubarb ice cream.

7. Germany will play against the US in the World Cup on Thursday. That will be interesting. America only won the game against Ghana because their coach is German. Just kidding.

8. Lesson I have learned this week: You can never eat too many cherries so be happy when you have a cherry tree in the garden. And don't feel guilty about eating a whole bucket of cherries.

9. Sometimes I try to read a book extra slow because I don't want it to end and have to wait for the next book by that writer. That's how I feel about the latest Åke Edwardson book.

10. I might build this. My books need more space.

Have a fantastic week, thanks for reading!

    1. I agree, right now it is really exhausting and I feel like I do not have enough time for the things I enjoy. Taking a deep breath is definitely a good advice!

I am so sorry you cannot watch the game! I am sure it will be very exciting! The time difference does not make it any easier! :(

  6. I totally know what you mean about needing more time - a moment to catch your breath inbetween the time where you're putting everything in your life back into order. I just want some peace and quiet (maybe a long long long flight) where I can just zone out for a little bit. I'm super craving coffee ice cream tonight for some reason - ice cream maker arrives tomorrow!

    1. Yeah, that is exactly how I feel. Well, I hate flying so I would prefer a long train ride but I know what you mean. I feel like I don't find enough time for the things I love and want to do.
Coffee ice cream sounds amazing! I am craving pistachio today! :) Yay for the ice cream maker! Have fun and let me know what you make!

  7. 1. I'm in the process of doing a redesign for my blog. Blogging is like a second job, for me at least, and it can easily get off course or overwhelming.
    2. I feel the same way!
    3. Ahh! Looks just like my Lily! How adorable!
    5. I love True Blood too!
    6. Girl, you MUST get an ice cream maker!! They are SO easy to use!
    9. I'm the same way - I get so involved in books that I get anxiety when I have to wait for a new one in a series to come out. Haha!
    10. Cute bookshelf!

      6. I am doing some research and trying to decide which ice cream maker I want to get. I will probably eat ice cream every single day! :)

  9. Poachers are some of the worst people on the planet. The lowest form of humanity in my opinion. And regarding #7, IT'S ON!! :)

    1. They really are horrible people. I can't guarantee for anything if I ever meet one in person....
The game will be so exciting! Hope you are okay with the second place in the group! :)

  10. I feel exactly the same way as #1 -- I don't have time to properly blog and be a good bloggy friend. I don't read as many blogs and leave even less comments. That's one of the side-effects of working full time again and having three kids at home!
So nervous about tomorrows game! I do want Germany to win but I am a little torn.

Go Germany! I am so excited about the game! I surely hope that Germany will win! :)

  11. I would love to read more about your vegan lifestyle and animal-friendly fashion and products. Recipes are always good, too. I cook five nights a week and am always looking for new things to try...as long as they're relatively easy. :)

    Oh, and GO USA!!!!!! :)

  12. Your blog is awesome, dear Katrin! :) We'll patiently wait for all the changes to come and in the meantime we enjoy your wonderful posts you're writing now :) I think all the topics you're planning on sound perfect.
Unfortunately I can't open the link about the poachers - but just hearing the word makes me mad enough already :(
Oh my gosh the dog and the piglet are SO cute! :)
You should absolutely run your own farm sanctuary. I think that would be the perfect thing to do for you! You're the kindest and most animal loving person I have ever met.
In case there is such thing as too much ice-cream then I had way too much ice-cream lately ;) But I just love it so!
Go Germany!!! :) 5 more hours till the game ;)
Cherries are awesome, I wish the time where they're ripe wouldn't be so short.
I know what you mean about reading a book slowly to enjoy it as long as possible. And i absolutely want this bookshelf.
I hope you're having an amazing week, sweet Katrin.
