  1. Ha, I like these! I agree that adopting a pet is an excellent idea. Adopting more than one is even better :) I've never had anise (to my knowledge), but I'll sure avoid it now! Yuck!

    1. Glad you like them! I really hope I can add another pet to the pack soon! A lot of people love anise but I really cannot stand the smell. My grandma always made anise cookies and I hated them. Also anise schnaps!

  3. Thank you for sharing these life lessons - it’s nice to break free from the self doubt that holds us back from embracing our dreams and living a fulfilling life or even preventing these things from happening.

Bummers about the anise, I love star anise! Have you tried ground anise before?

    1. It is so easy to stay away from your dreams just because of doubts. But I am sure we would regret not trying it. So I always try to remind myself of that.

I think I tried all kinds of anise. I just do not like the smell at all. My grandma always made anise cookies and I hated them so much!

  6. Good ones, there are so many important life lessons that we need to look back and reflect on once in a while.

For me an lesson was that although we hear many horrible stories in the news the vast majority of people are actually good and compassionate even if the business of our world means you can't always see it.

    1. True! Sometimes it is good to have a reminder of those things. It is easy to forget them once in a while.

And I agree on your lesson. It is just so hard to believe sometimes when you see all the horrible things people do. But the majority isn't like that.

Yeah, I really really hate onions! I just can't stand them! :) I eat everything else (which is vegan) but I just can't make myself eat onions.

  9. I'm not big on onions either. Never really was. Books, oh how I love books, and reading. Wish I had more time to indulge. Think I'll try to read a good one over Christmas break. :)

    1. I don't know why but I always really hated them. I don't think that will ever change! Hope you can read a lot over Christmas break! We really need more time for books!

  10. nice list, I agreed with almost all of them, I did have to look up #3 but it doesn't sound like something I want to eat anyway.

life lessons? I don't really have much to offer as you mostly have already listed them but I would say, don't blame yourself too much when something goes wrong, because you're only human

hope you have a great day.
