Not if you were the last junkie on earth.

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Do you have any nice plans?

I really need to catch up on my shows, I haven't watched any last week. I am so far behind, it is unbelievable. I guess I have to watch shows for the next 24 hours. I don't even know what to start with. I really don't.

I have to say that I am a little addicted to TV shows. I always get totally excited when there is a new episode of one of my favorite shows. I get excited very easily by the way. You can ask David. Every time I see a dog I get totally excited. The same happens when I see a rain worm. Or something German in America.  Or....all kinds of other things.

This made me think about addictions. And I realized that I have a couple of them. No really bad ones though.

Addiction # 1.
David.

What can I say? That guy is awesome and he always makes me laugh and feel good. Plus he listens to all the crap I have to say. He tries broccoli even when he hates it. Just because I cooked it. He is my hero.

Addiction # 2.
Animals.

I have always loved animals. I grew up having animals around and they are very important in my life. I don't want to live without animals. The pets are a part of our family.
I don't just love cats and dogs and bunnies. I also love pigs and cows and chicken. And that's why I don't want to eat them.

Addiction # 3.
Books.

I love to read. I have hundreds and hundreds of books. I love to spend hours on the couch (or wherever) reading, IN fall, I love to be snuggled up under a warm blanket, with a hot water bottle, a tea in one hand and a book in the other.

Addiction # 4.
TV shows.

As I said, I really need to catch up with my favorite shows because I don't know what's going on anymore.

Addiction # 5.
Coffee and tea.

I love to start my day with a coffee and to eat my day with a tea. Both with lots of sugar. Sometimes with soy milk.

Addiction # 6.
Magazines.

Yeah, I admit it. I love to read magazines. All kinds of magazines. Lifestyle, cooking, gossip, fashion, beauty, interior design, DIY, politics. Love it. So when I don't read a book, then I have a magazine in my hand.

Addiction # 7.
Shoes.

How many shoes are too many shoes? I really don't know. But I always find a pair I like.

Addiction # 8.
Traveling.

I really want to travel more. There are so many places I want to see. And not enough time. It is a shame.

Addiction # 9.
Food.

Eating is very important. I want to eat things that are good for my body. I have some health issues so I really try to eat healthy. That doesn't mean that I don't have a sweet tooth though.. Cooking is also awesome.

Addiction # 10.
Painting.

I am not saying that I am a good painter but it is a wonderful way to relax.  I really want to find time to paint some more. And do some other DIY projects. I have so many ideas!

Addiction # 11.
Nature.

It just makes me feel good to be surrounded by grass, trees, animals.....the air smells so good....I can't really describe it. But I always feel so relaxed when I can spend some time outdoors.

Addiction # 12.
Music.

I went to my first concert when I was 14 and loved it. It is always a very special experience. I listen to music all the time, love to discover new songs and bands, music makes everything better. I wish I would be as musical as David....

Oh well, there are some more addictions I have....but I am curious now: what are your addictions?

Have a lovely weekend!

  8. Oh, my! We have very similar addictions. I've decided to give up to one, though: Diet Coke :/. I so love it, but my body doesn't need it. I think it might actually begging me to quit, so I will, hehe.
