Random Thursday! Blogger pet peeves.

Hallo meine Lieben,

it is time for another Random Thursday post!
You can join the fun here...

This week's topic is

I have to say that there is only one thing that really annoys me...well maybe two.

First.

Captcha.

The problem is not even the thing itself (well, it is a little stupid because it is so time consuming and unnecessary but okay, I can accept it.)...the problem is that my eyes are really bad so most of the time I have to try it a couple of times before I get it right and that totally freaks me out. I mean, can you always read those letters? I really can't and I don't know if I am the only person and everybody else only needs one try....I really don't know. It is possible that I give up commenting when I get it wrong two or three times. So I really wish I would not have to do it at all...

Second.

Autoplay music.

I love music. I really do. I listen to music a lot. But I want to be prepared. When I open a blog and music starts I just get a heart attack. Do you want me to die? I hope not! But I get scared very easily and my heart just stops beating. So please, no music! Only when I can click a button to make the music start playing....

What are your blogger pet peeves? I am really interested to know!

By the way, when I moved to America I had no idea what a pet peeve is. I thought it is something like a bad habit. So I had to get used to that expression first....it still sounds a little funny and confusing for me!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

  2. hahaha....Autoplay Music!!!! YESS! OMG how I hate that. Especially since I'm usually listening to music anyway and those auto music players are usually louder then my music....It's so bad!!!

  4. Captcha is definitely my number one! I will admit to sometimes not leaving a comment if I have to do it. Music doesn't bother me too much because I usually have my computer muted, but if I didn't that would definitely be on my list!

    1. Yeah, if it's not that important then I give up too...after 3 failed attempts.

  5. I hate when people find you through a blog hop or something and they comment basically telling you they're following you and want you to follow them back. They say NOTHING about your post.

    1. Yeah, I agree! I mean, you can at least read the post and talk about it. :)

  6. BOTH! Plus, SOMETIMES guest posts...actually only the ones that ALWAYS do them and we don't really get to know the blogger--just their guests!

    1. Glad you agree! And yeah, the blogger should introduce the guest first! Hugs!

  7. Definitely agree with both! When I look at blogs in public places and the music comes on, I have to hurriedly find the mute button and die of embarrassment.

  8. I'm totally with you on both! And I'd also like to add I hate the "I'll follow you if you follow me back" kinda comment, haha.

Have a great day, sweet Katrin! Any cool plans for the weekend yet? :p

    1. Haha yeah. I agree. That's weird! :)

No special plans, just catching up on some shows and being lazy. :) Hope you are doing great! Hugs!

  9. If I comment on somebody's blog and they have captcha and I actually go through it to post the comment, they should feel dang special.

  10. That's cute that you didn't know what a pet peeve was! I don't like the follow me back comments either. Ick!

    1. yeah, you can at least take the time to read the post and respond to it!

And I really never heard that expression before I came to America. It is so weird!

  11. captcha or word verification is one pet peeve but when it is combined with comment moderation then I begin to wonder what kind spam the blogger is getting that she/he needs the double protection. I hardly get spam, maybe I got two once but they are easy to delete. and surely bloggers are always kind enough not to offend so I see no real reason for both. just one is enough.

for the captcha, I usually just click on until something I can read, though I think if you get one right, your comment usually goes through

& yeah, music also irks me because most times I have my own music on and it crashes with their music and then I would have to mute everything in order to comment or read the post.

those are the main ones, the others, is more like personal preferences.

hope you have a sweet day.

    1. Haha, I totally agree. Captcha and comment moderation? That's definitely too much! Spam is really easy to delete and I don't get much.

And that's a good idea, I should try the clicking too!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend, dear!

  12. I completely agree with both. Captcha is the most irritating one because I can never get it right on the first attempt.

  13. I really dislike captcha, in fact I once messaged someone on twitter to tell them I found their blog but I can't comment because the captcha is too hard!!

Also dislike flashing buttons and neon colours, and like coloured text on a white background.

    1. Haha, you are awesome, Celeste! :))

And I agree, sometimes it is so difficult to read the text that I just give up!

  14. Everyone hates captcha - why don't we all just get rid of it? Autoplay music doesn't bother me that much since I most often have my laptop on mute =)

    1. Maybe some people don't even know they are using it. I have no idea. And I should mute my laptop!

  15. Captchas are the WORST! Half the time I enter them in incorrectly so obviously my computer thinks I'm a robot.

    ReplyDelete
  16. it's not just you!
I usually give up on captcha after the first try because it's so irritating to try and see what look like made up letters!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, sometimes I have no idea what letter it could be!

  17. So, first of all, I had no idea what 'pet peeve' was, so I learned something new in English today, thank you very much!

And I agree so so so much on your number 1 (number 2 I havent really met.) But I really hate those letters that are impossible to read, and it's time consuming (and very annoying!) having to try to or three times and never getting it right...

    Happy weekend!

    1. That's awesome. I am glad I am not the only one who did not know that expression!

It is very time consuming to figure out what the letters mean. It makes me angry sometimes!
      Happy weekend!

  18. Oh man, my eyes are pretty bad too and those damn captcha things annoy me so bad. Auto playing music always makes the page load so slowly and that pretty much aggravates me to the point where I'll just exit out.

    Thanks for linking up!

    1. It really hurts my eyes to see it. I am too blind for the stupid captcha things!
      Have a great weekend, dear!

  19. Totally agree to both of them! :)

  20. I also dislike captcha (especially the ones that take a few attempts before I get them right) and autoplay music.

    ReplyDelete
  21. the autoplay music is a reason I don't read blogs at work anymore! I just don't want to risk it. It's okay if it's easy to turn off but on some blogs, it's so difficult to figure out how to turn it off! And captcha makes it impossible for me to read and comment on blogs from my iphone when I'm traveling and on the go :(

    1. Yeah, I can understand. That can be really annoying! I never tried to comment on blogs on my iphone but I can imagine how stupid it is!
