My dream home.

Hallo meine Lieben,

it's time for this fun link-up again. I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!

you're meaghan me crazy

I am absolutely in love with this week's topic. I love to build and decorate my perfect house in my dreams. And I can't wait to see yours!

First of all, my dream house is totally unrealistic but that is how I would want to live if I could choose. You are allowed to dream, aren't you?
My house should look like this from the outside.

So basically. I want to live in an old castle with lots of space and nature around it for all the animals I want to rescue. I need space so I don't want any neighbors or roads around. The castle needs to have at least one huge tower because that is where I want to have my library. A ghost would be nice too. I mean, no old castle without a ghost.

This could be my dining room.

It is hard to find pictures of room that look exactly how I want them too but you can't have everything. I would decorate my house with a mixture of new and antique things.

I also like how this room looks.

The most important room would be my library, located in the tower.

It needs a fireplace with an old and cozy armchair in front of it. And a globe bar is important. I have always dreamed of a bar like this.

My kitchen can be a little more modern. Something like the following one. But I would decorate it a little more. Maybe with some old coffee mills...stuff like that.

And I want a bath tub like this one. In the middle of the bathroom.

I would like to have a living room with wooden floors which I would decorate with some colorful rugs. I need to have a huge couch where I can relax in the evening. A wooden table would be great. And more book shelves. And of course a fireplace like the  one in the next picture.

This looks nice.

I would also like to find an antique sideboard like this one.

And here is my office space.

I also need lots of space for animals, a room for David's music studio, maybe a home cinema.
And last but not least, a bedroom like this one would be nice. I couldn't find anything that looks exactly what I want but I think I would be comfortable in this one.

I am a huge fan of these 50's tables.

Oh, and a wall like this would be awesome.

As I said, I need lots of space for the animals, indoor and outdoor. I want my cute little friend here to be able to live with me.

I could go on like this forever. It is so much fun to browse the internet and find some inspiration. I really hope that I can have something similar to this one day. As I said, you can dream.
I am sorry about the picture overload, I got a little obsessed.
I would also like to have a little creek that runs through my garden. I want lots of cozy pillows and beautiful colors in my house. I love wooden floors so that is a must.
How does your dream house look like?

Have a lovely Thursday!

  1. I would LOVE to live in an old castle. As long as the ghost was friendly. I don't know if I could handle a mean ghost. Or a scary one. :)

    1. I don't want a mean or scary one either. I would probably never sleep again. But a friendly ghost would be interesting!

  11. I like a mix of old and new as well. I dream of living in a farm type house with lots of land around and animals, too. I'd love a big kitchen with a nice Viking gas range... My mom has that globe bar, we actually brought it with us from Germany when we came here.

  13. exactly how I would like my dream house including a large library with wall to wall shelves for books and those tall ladders to navigate by. actually, I probably would be happy just to have a library and a office with tons of gadgets and the nicest furnitures. I don't need a castle but it's nice and also to be able to tell people you own a castle is a wonderful thing! thanks for sharing these pics.

    have a sweet day.

  15. I don't know if we'll ever be in one location long enough to really create a dream house, but it's fun to imagine. Are you on Pinterest? It's fun to have a board there to house all of your this-would-be-cool-someday ideas. Mine is here: http://pinterest.com/phoenixxphyre/future-home-ideas/.

  16. Life in a ranch always appealed to me. The breathtaking view of green grass and livestock is fantastic. And the mode of living is quite simpler than in the urban areas.

  17. You're definitely allowed to dream. I sometimes dream of a house built on top of the volcano, Katrin. Well, what's important is that we can distinguish what's real from imaginary. I think you can still achieve the interior design. I hope you already have your own house where you can use those inspirations. Time to buy a new house, what d'you think? :)
