Sunday Confessions. Vegan pancakes, kitty birthday cards and trees.

Hallo meine Lieben,

& happy Sunday! I have something to confess which is why I am linking up with Alyx.

Confession #1.

I had the same dinner 4 times in a row and I am planning to cook it again tonight. I am talking about vegan pancakes filled with broccoli, corn and mushrooms in a tomato-hummus-chili sauce. Yes, it is that good.

Confession #2.

I bought a pretty girly birthday card for my Dad. The card is pink and there is a cat on it who is wearing a glittery tiara. There are also some fake diamonds glued on it. I am sure he will love the card.

Confession #3.

I like looking at trees. It feels very comforting to do that.

What do you have to confess?
Have a great week!

  1. #1 - have not heard of such a meal but I do have a habit of eating the same thing over and over -- it makes it easier when deciding what to eat

#2 - sounds awfully cute and fun

#3 - staring at trees is comforting, that's probably why I like walking parks

hope you have a sweet day.

    1. Yeah, I agree, it does make it easier. And sometimes I just get stuck with one meal.

I hope he will appreciate it. :) But he loves cats so I am sure he will!

      It really is!
      Have a lovely evening!

  2. I like looking at trees, too... It's something I think I took for granted in my youth growing up in the forest.. Now I live in the city and I don't see very many trees.

  3. Haven't heard of that meal, but it sounds tasty. I tend to eat the same dinner a lot also! I'm too lazy to cook new things!

I bet your dad will love that card! Cats in tiaras rock.

Trees are very comforting. I think it would be really hard for me to live in a city, because I would miss laying on the lawn in the backyard and looking up at the trees. It's very soothing.

  5. Hi there!
Your pancakes sound just soooo yummy! Guess I would love them, too. How are you doing them? Flour and soymilk, I'd guess, but what are you using, then? Would love to try a vegan version with that delicious filling.
Well, I love pancakes with maple syrup and blueberries as well and of course with Nutella! :-D

I'm sure your Dad will love that birthday card. Well, I would love it. But, I like everything that's pink or with glitter or with cats!

Have a great start into the new week!

    1. Yummy, I love sweet pancakes too, especially with blueberries. I usually use almond milk for mine and then I use egg replacement which is a powder that you mix with water. But I also make pancakes without eggs which are good too!
I miss my vegan Nutella from Germany! Sooooo good!

Haha, yeah, I like everything with pink and glitter too. My Dad not so much but I am sure he will love the cat!

      Have a lovely week!

  6. Trees have saved my soul! Seriously. I have a favorite one in my neighborhood. She is a HUGE 100+ old English Oak. I named her Eloise and I walk by her and touch her bark every day. I also have a little "forest" I walk through on a parkway near our house. *Sigh* trees are awesome.

Also, thanks for your comment on my blog. I think what you said sparked another part of my pain....that American faith seems so one sided and it is STRANGE! :)

    Happy Sunday, friend.
    xoxo

    1. I love that you named the oak! I would love to see a picture because I have something similar in Germany. The tree is huge and sooo old and it always makes me feel good to see it and touch it. I think I need to give the tree a name too!

Yeah, it really does seem like it. It is difficult to handle sometimes!

Have a lovely week, my friend!
      Hugs!

  15. I so laughed at the girly card for Dad. I don't think I'd be brave enough to do that to my Dad....but I did buy my 18 year old brother a little girl's b-day card for his last birthday....I think it amused me more than it amused him...
