Sunday Confessions. Face mask, brussel sprouts and dumb ways to die.

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a fantastic and relaxed Sunday!
I am linking up with fantastic Alyx from Every Day Is A New Adventure for some confessions.

Confession #1.

I think it is a great idea to start the day with a face mask made of cocoa butter, spearmint oil, vanilla and rhassoul mud. Thank you Lush for making me feel so good so early in the morning.

Confession #2.

Sometimes the world seems to be a very dark place. I always try to stay positive though.

Confession #3.

I am totally addicted to this video and song.

Confession #4.

I am not the best brussel sprouts cook in the world. I have to admit it. I still have a lot to learm. Plus it really is a pain in the ass to get a whole bag of brussel sprouts ready to eat.

Confession #5.

I am always scared that my house could burn down. I already feared that as a kid. One time I spent the night at my godfather's house and I woke up and thought my parents' house is burning. We had to call them to make sure that everything is alright.
When I leave the house I always check twice if the oven is turned off.

What do you have to confess?
Have a lovely day!

  1. Follow this for yummy brussel sprouts: http://www.feelslikehomeblog.com/2011/04/roasted-brussel-sprouts/
Add a little garlic and/or (fake) bacon if you'd like. They're actually yummy.

And that cupcake mask looks awesome.

    1. Oh, that's stupid. But these products are all natural, maybe they would be fine?
Fire is reall stupid. I am always scared and the day is ruined when I don't check before I leave the house!

  3. #4 -- don't care much for bruseel sprouts, even the name doesn't quite sound so good to me. I suppose if it's cook right, maybe it would taste good?

  4. Oh I do the same about fire, I am so paranoid! I always panic that I left the oven on when I go to work or away for a weekend.

I would like to start the day with a facemask, I feel like I don't have enough pampering time in my life!

  5. I've never had brussels sprouts. They look funny and have a funny name so they must also taste funny. ;) I used to work at Lush! My favorite mask was Love Lettuce! My skin has been on the fritz lately so I may have to stop in to pick up a Lush mask. Haven't used one since I worked there two years ago!

  6. That face mask sounds amazing. I am going to have to check it out. Also if you want good brussels sprout recipes then try whole living magazines website. There is one on there that is brussels sprouts, pears and shallots baked together and it is delicious.

  9. OMG, Katrin! I feel as if I hadn't been here for ages! :/ I'd have started writing this comment 3:02mins ago, but I was too busy watching the video you posted, haha! :P

So, how have you been? How's everything going there? I certainly missed reading you, but life's been quite hectic and I had to restrain myself from the online world :(. I think I'll be able to check my favorite blogs on a regular basis soon, though :p.

I've always been scared of my house burning down, too! The idea of losing all of one's belongings in the blink of an eye is so scary! Hope it never happens to us!

Have a wonderful week and thank you SO much for your lovely comment, sweet Katrin! YOU rock! :P

I am sorry that your life is so hectic dear! I love your new clothes by the way! They look awesome! And I am glad you like your new job so much! I need more time to read blogs too!

It would be so terrible if the house would burn down! I would rescue the pets but lose everything else.

Have a wonderful week, my dear friend! YOU rock!

  10. I can't eat brussel sprouts which is a bummer...BUT therefore I don't have to cook them. HA! ;) Or at least I try to avoid it. My mother has a steamer and that thing works magic on brussel sprouts....but making them the old fashioned "german way" with water in a pan...I could never get them right. They either fell apart or were just not done. That facemask looks like a dessert. I'd want to eat it ....yum

  11. I couldn't open the video as I'm reading on my iPhone :( But now brussel sprouts - I love them! I cut them in half, steam them for a bit and and quickly toss them in a hot pan with a little bit of oil. I serve it was a balsamic vinegar reduction, soo good and they vanish as soon as they hit the table! :)
