Sunday Confessions. Advent calendar, drawing and animals.

Hallo meine Lieben,

are you enjoying your Sunday? Hope you are all doing great!
I am linking up with the wonderful Alyx from Every Day Is A New Adventure for some Sunday Confessions.

Confession #1.

Sometimes I can barely stand the fact that I live in a world where teenagers burn a hedgehog alive for fun, where millions of male chicken get killed immediately after they were born, where animals are treated like machines and people never learned to treat animals with respects. I can't even describe how this makes me feel. Angry, sad, mad, upset....

Confession #2.

It would really make me happy to have a space to live where I am able to offer a home to all kinds of animals. Donkeys, goats, chicken and so on.

Confession #3.

I have an Advent calendar every year of my life since I was born and I don't plan on changing that. Never ever. I know it is something for kids but I want to have an Advent calendar even when I am 80. I prefer handmade and filled ones.

Confession #4.

I started to watch The Mindy Project and I really like the characters, especially nurse Morgan. But I think the theme melody is more than awful.
By the way: Thanks to David for making me watch it! You rock!

Confession #5.

I love drawing but I recently found out that I can't draw bunnies. Other animals yes. But the bunnies I draw look like a kindergarten child drew them.

A question for my German friends:
Did you ever watch "Die Lümmel von der ersten Bank"? Did you like them? I would love to watch them again. I watched them over and over when I was a child.

Have a lovely Sunday!

  1. I'm with you on the animal thing. I sometimes wonder, if I was a mother of a child who did something like that I would be hard pushed not to slap them around the face. Hard.
I have an advent calendar every year too, love them, i have one with glitter and picture windows :)

    1. Yeah, I really don't know what went wrong when these parents raised their children. I would freak out.
Oh, your calendar sounds so lovely!

  3. I have a hard time with the world we live in and I think that in reality it is not going to change until there is a cataclysmic event. The problem is that there are so many people that human life has become cheap, and when human life becomes cheap no one cares, education goes out, kids aren't raised properly and they turn into dysfunctional adults that have kids of their own. It's a sad world we live in but the best you can do is to spread positive messages and try to teach bad people compassion because clearly no one else did.

  7. Hi, my dearest Katrin! How are you? :p I'm chilling at home, Dimitri on my lap and trying to catch up with blogs as I hear the rain fall outside. I was supposed to run on the treadmill like 5 hours ago, but I still haven't plucked up the courage, haha.

When I think about mistreated animals I fee like crying :/. I don't think I could ever change being a carnivore, though :(.

I've only seen the first episode of the Mindy Project; maybe I should give it a try. I'm currently totally hooked on Breaking Bad; I didn't think I was going to like it, but David started watching it and in two episodes I got totally addicted, hehe.

Hope you're ready to start a new week with a huge smile, sweet Katrin! ;D

    Tight hugs!

    1. I think reading blogs and hanging out with Dimitri is much better than running on the treadmill. :)

I feel like crying a lot. The world can be such a shitty place!

I think the first episode of Mindy Project wasn't that great but it gets better! And Breaking Bad is so awesome, I am glad you like it too!

Have a lovely day, my friend! I hope you are doing fine!
      Hugs!

  8. it is very said that people don't know how to treat animals with the respect they deserve. I hope to one day open up an animal sanctuary as well.
    Cheers,
    Kayleigh

    1. Yeah, that would be awesome. Animals deserve respect but humans can be so cruel.

  9. WHAT?!? Someone burned a hedgehog alive? I just don't understand the world in which we live. It makes me sad that people are not only cruel to animals, but to other humans as well. It's just sad.

    Thanks for linking up Katrin!

  14. I've never had an advent calendar, perhaps we should do one this year, even though it's already 5 days in! The image of teenagers burning a hedgehog alive brought tears to my eyes. That's awful!
