A day in the life...

Hallo meine Lieben,

I hope you are all having a wonderful and sunny day! Today I want to tell you a little bit about "A day in the life of Katrin".

Okay, first of all: you need to promise me not to tell anybody about this because what I do is top secret. Nobody is allowed to know about this. It could risk my life, the lives of my family members and my pets (which are family too but I just wanted to point this out.). So pssst....

Okay? Okay!

I get up at 7 am every morning which is an okay time to get up but I have to admit that I am not the most talkative person in the morning. I guess David will disagree, he thinks I talk to much in the morning. But compared to the rest of the day, I am not very talkative in the morning and most days I can be pretty grumpy.

First thing in the morning I make a coffee or a tea because I can't function without that. At the same time I have to give good morning cuddles to the pets and they also want some food.

When that's done the difficult part of my day starts. While David gets ready to go to the office I have to get ready too. I pretend to dress in my office clothes but nobody knows that under my nice blouse I wear my real working clothes.

The truth is: I am a spy and fight against all the evil in the world.

Under my inconspicuous working clothes I wear a special black suit which protects me from bullets, knives and other kinds of attacks.

When David leaves the house around 7:45 am I pretend to go to my car and drive to the office. But: I stop at the next clothing store (I can't tell you which one, it is a secret), go to the second last fitting room on the left, push a hidden button behind the mirror an a secret door opens which leads me to the headquarter of the spy firm I work for.

I go to my office and check my missions for the day. I can't tell you any secrets but some of my last missions included putting the head of a Russian mafia family out of action, stop the illegal trade of exotic animals, rescue all the animals from a fur farm, stop a dog fighting ring, find a traitor who worked for a dangerous underground organization and so on.

I hope you understand that I can't give any details but I work for the good side, not the dark side. But the dark side can't know. They want to find me. All the terrible people in this world work together to stop me because they think that "only together can we turn her to the Dark Side of the Force."  But they can't. Never.

I am too fast for them. I travel by helicopter, I have several cars, bikes, I know underground tunnels that nobody else knows of, I have a cloak of invisibility....

I usually work overtime because you need some time to save the world.

Around 7 I change back into my inconspicuous work clothes and leave the headquarter the same way I came in. I drive home to our house, say hello to David and the pets (again, they can't know because that would put them in danger) and tell them about my boring day at the office.

How does your day look like?

PS: Today is World Stray Animal Day. They need our voice. You can read more about it here. My wonderful friend Martha also wrote a great post about it which you can find here

Have a good day!

  1. I always had a feeling you weren't just very caring and loving when it comes to animals but that you'd do more to try and save them from any cruelty in the world.
Now I have proof! You're even risking your life for them! Hah! :D Can I apply? A day in my life is not even worth mentioning compared to yours and I want to do something to make the world a better place, too :)
Love this post! Simply love it. It just made my day (and it was the first thing I read this morning - so this was a really good start :)
