Five Things. A green plant loving dinosaur who wants to live in your house.

Hallo meine Lieben,

happy Friday! I hope you are all having a wonderful time!
Please check out my friend Celeste's Five Things as well!

1. This lip balm.

It is from a company called Bare Bones Body and that's what you need to know about their products: "Ingredients you need. Nothing more, nothing less. No toxins, no animal products, tested only on humans." Sounds great to me. I definitely want to check this out.  I also love the packaging a lot.

2. This dinosaur planter.

I love the idea and I need to get one for my house too. I would also love to have an elephant planter and a hedgehog planter.

3. This shirt.

It is from a cute little shop called VeganVeins. They also sell the cutest animal jewelry.
Humans are the only ones who drink the milk from another species on a regular basis by the way. At least in adult life.

4. This  bag.

I am so in love with this Stella McCartney bag. I really admire her for work. There should be more designers like her.

5. This island.

When I was 13 years old I read a book about a woman who traveled around the world. One of her stops was Christmas Island. Since then I am fascinated by that place and want to travel there so badly to see the crab migration.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I'm a huge fan of Stella McCartney bags. I have nearly all her sunglasses and shoes (you've probably seen my IG posts). I want her ankle booties, but they are so costly!

  3. Thank you for the two vegan recommendations! I currently use Crazy Rumors for my vegan chapstick but that Bare Bones Body sounds wicked cool. And I've never heard of Vegan Veins - I love the name and that screen print on the shirt.

  4. My husband apparently researched this for some reason or another and says that way back when, it was the norm for humans to be lactose intolerant. They were never supposed to drink cow's milk. (I guess this would be the Paleo age? IDK) Anyway somehow this small section of the population carried a mutation in their genes that allowed them to drink cow's milk, and over time the two groups slowly became reversed, so now today most people drink cow's milk and a smaller section is lactose-intolerant. Kind of an interesting way to look at it.

And those crabs! Wow! That's awesome that they close the road for them.

    1. How interesting! I like the fact that your husband researched that topic! :) It totally makes sense! So yeah, people should just leave the cow's milk to the little calves and everything is fine. :)

I love that fact that they close the roads for the crabs also. I really want to see this in person some day!

  7. The cow shirt is cute. My husband said everyone is actually lactose intolerant, it's just a matter of to what degree. I had read a little about it and it seems that a lot of the world actually is pretty lactose intolerant because their cultures never had milk drinking as part of it whereas the areas (like America) where it became a staple more people are able to digest it. And apparently the ability to digest it can break down as one gets older. The only reason I've been reading up on it is that I seem to have become lactose intolerant out of the blue. I used to eat yogurt once a day, sometimes twice. Now all of a sudden if I eat it once even every few days, it means bad things the day I eat it. I don't know if it's temporary or permanent but I decided to try cutting milk out of my diet alltogether and see if it improves and I didn't realize there is milk in pretty much everything I eat from bread to sun dried tomato dressing I would have thought had no milk in it at all.

    1. I think that makes sense. We are really not supposed to drink another creatures milk. I have to say that I feel so much better since I became a vegan. My skin is so much healthier plus I really feel a lot better. I can't really describe it but sometimes I felt really bad after a meal but I don't anymore. Makes me really happy. It is so interesting that you became lactose intolerant out of the blue! I am sorry to hear about that but I hope that you will start to feel better. And you are right, there are so many products with dairy hidden in them, you have to read all the ingredients to make sure that you are okay!
