Ten on Tuesday! Vampires, haunted castles and poor pepper plants.

Hallo meine Lieben,

Tuesday! Yay! Time to link up with Lin from Linny's Vault. I love reading your posts, Lin! You always make me laugh so much and I am so glad I found your blog! Please never stop blogging, okay?

1. I am usually absolutely disorganized when I start cooking. I just mix the stuff I am in the mood for together and add tons of spices. I don't use recipes most of the times and my meals never taste the same. I like cooking that way because you always eat something new. It usually tastes good. But I have learned that baking without recipes is not the best idea. I made some muffins a while ago and mixed two recipes I found online. As the result I got some sticky muffins with a bitter taste.

2. I am a very rude driver. I hate all other drivers and let them know. Okay, they can't hear me most of the time but I can get very angry and loud when people don't drive the way  I want them too. I can't help myself, I am an angry German (by the way, it seems like I really sound angry all the time. That's kind of sad.).

3. I feel sorry for all the plants at Walmart. We went there on Sunday because we want to grow some vegetables and I say these poor pepper plants. Do they never water them? Looks like it. I wish I could have bought all of them. But we rescued a huge bell pepper plant and named him (it's a guy) "Pepper". How creative. And we also got some regular pepper and basil.

4. Celeste is a wonderful girl and her blog is called The Punching Teacup. She lives in the Netherlands and her grandfather received an award from Queen Beatrix. How cool is that? And you should also check out Katha's blog Katha Strophe. She's fabulous and wrote a great post about getting older.

5. I would love to spend a night in a haunted castle in Scotland. I am not sure how I would react. I think I would try to stay calm at first but I get easily startled so I would probably scream when I hear a weird noise. But I am sure it would be a great adventure.

6. When I was a kid I always watched "Der kleine Vampir" (The little vampire) and read the book series. I loved it so much that I wanted to have a vampire as a friend too. I looked out of my window every night and hoped for a vampire to come and visit me. He/she did not show up (what a surprise) but I never stopped loving the show/books. A couple of years ago I got the show on DVD as a birthday present. Awesome.

7. I named one of my bunnies after a pink bird from the Sesame Street. I am not sure what that says about me. That character doesn't even exist in the American version. Only in the German Sesamstrasse. I was surprised that there are so many different characters. There is no Samson in the American Sesame Street. Unbelievable for a German!

Tiffie

The big brown bear is Samson.

8. I can't help myself but the German version of "Mahna Mahna" is sooooooo much cooler than the American one! David doesn't agree but I know that I am right.

9. Clowns are scary. Period.

10. Do you know "Die Sendung mit der Maus"? I guess you know it when you are German. It is a show for children but I still love to watch it. You can learn so much! Does anybody know the "Müllmänner Song"? Six bin men explain how the garbage collection works. That's how you learn stuff!! I can watch it over and over. Genius!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and link up with Lin!

I feel bad for the fish at Walmart. They are always dead. Always. Like those plants.

    1. It's just not possible to stay calm when I dry. :)
I have never seen fish at Walmart. They should not sell fish there. :( That's even worse!

  2. Haha! Love the angry driving. I guess that really is a german thing isn't it? I totally cuss and curse all the time when I drive. It's rediculous actually...but hey....they could kind of use their brain when they drive a car couldn't they ^^

    2. My hub, Roy was a cop for 27 years. he gave me the "slow your HappyAss down speech" a. lot. I know it by heart... word for word. And since I was "an example of goodness and a pillar of the community, I had to stop giving "the motoring public the bird".

    3. I love this! :)) Soooo cool! I am sure it can be pretty exhausting to drive with a cop / ex cop. :)

  4. Love the pink bird and Sesame Street is pretty much my entire childhood. I wish we had her too!
I'll spend a night in the haunted castle with you!
Everything at Wal-Mart makes me sad. I wish it wasn't so convenient and cheap.

    1. I really don't know why there are so many different characters!
Awesome! We should manage to go to Scotland and find a haunted castle! :)

  5. Awwww thanks!!! :)

Also yes clowns are very scary, having said that I was also afraid of Santa when I was young. And the Easter bunny. Essentially anyone dressed up in a weird disguise made to appeal to children.

    1. You're welcome, dear! :)

Yeah, Santa was pretty scary too. :) I can't understand how people can have clowns at birthdays!

  6. 1. Look at you, a little Rachel Ray in the making! I tend to stick to recipes because I usually have no clue what to make for dinner.
    2. Bahaha, me too! I'm very impatient around slow drivers.
    3. I always feel sad for wilting plants in stores. How do they expect to sell them if they dont take care of them.
    4. Very cool.
    5. I'd probably pee my pants. That's an awesome looking castle though.
    6. How cute. I remember wanting to be visited by a vampire as a kid too. Thought it would be WAY cool.
    7. Before reading who the character was I thought, 'hey that looks like a wannabe sesame street character' haha. Now I know.
    8. lol you win this one. That's just plain awesome.
    9. Fuck yeah they are! Gives me the heebie jeebies.

Thanks for linking up doll face! And, I promise I won't stop blogging. Although I can't promise it'll always be entertaining haha.

    1. I have to admit that I have never heard about Rachel Ray before. I am flattered but I am definitely not that great. Sometimes I like what I cook, sometimes I don't. It's a game!
I am so glad I am not the only rude driver. :))
A vampire would be the most awesome visitor!
Haha, so funny that you thought Tiffy looks like a wannabe Sesame Street character. We're trying. :)
And so cool that you agree with me on the song! Yay!
Your posts always entertain me and I am sure they entertain everybody else, sweetie!

  7. Awww, more of those wonderful childhood memories. I loved "Sendung mit der Maus" - I always watched it with my Dad on Sunday mornings :) And of course I had to watch Sesame Street every day (was it every day anyway? can't remember ;) And I watched all episodes of "Der kleine Vampir" as well.
So cool that you're reminding me of it - now I'm smiling :)
I'd join you on your visit to a haunted castle in Scotland. This would be great - no idea if I would keep screaming constantly at every little noise though ;)
I wonder if rude driving is a German thing...everybody I know (including me) can be rude while driving *lol*

    Have a great day!

We should all travel together to a Scottish castle and have an awesome scary time! :)
It seems like every German driver is rude. :) Yay for that!
      Have a lovely evening, dear!
