Strawberry Fields Forever & Blueberry Hill

Hallo meine Lieben,

let's talk about fruits! I love fruits! They are the perfect healthy snack and there are so many things you can do with fruits (delicious muffins for example. When you don't burn them.).
I really like to eat healthy, it makes me feel so much better. There really is a big difference in how I feel when I don't eat any vegetables or fruits. That's why I eat them every day. As I said, fruits are the perfect snack and all my meals contain fruits or vegetables.

That's why I want to introduce you to my favorite fruits today.

1. Cherries.

We have a huge cherry tree in the garden of the house I grew up in. And every year I waited for the cherries to get ready to eat. I loved to climb on the tree and find the best cherries. My Mom always made marmelade and I can tell you: it was the best marmelade ever.

2. Gooseberries

Those berries are not very famous and I don't know understand why. They are delicious and perfect for baking.

3. Strawberries

I guess everybody loves strawberries. We had them in our garden too. Oh, I loved our garden. We  had pretty much everything there, you just had to go out and get it. Hopefully David and I will have a huge garden too someday.

4. Blueberries

I am currently addicted to blueberry marmelade. I also love blueberry tea. With vanilla. It is delicious. I could never live without fruits. You can also use fruit juice, mix it with alcohol and you have a great cocktail. Haha.  That's how I love fruits too.

5. Mango

I have to admit that I never really know how to cut them open so I always make a huge mess. But I guess that's just me.

6. Pomegranate

Also very messy to eat. I always have all the fruit juice on my shirt when I try to eat one but it's definitely worth it.

Okay, this list is endless because there is no fruit that I dislike. What is your favorite fruit?
Have a lovely Wednesday!

I would not eat pomegranates every day but I like to have them maybe once a month. :)

  7. I've never had gooseberries, but to me they look kinda like grapes. What do they taste like?

    1. Hmm, they don't really taste like grapes...it is hard to describe but they are a little sour.

  8. oh my goodness, you're making my mouth water with all this great fruit. I've never heard of gooseberries, they remind me of green grapes, which I love. My husband is a sucker for Pomegranates. He loves visiting my grandma's house because she has a tree of those in her backyard lol.

Gooseberries are awesome but I have to admit that I have never seen them in America.

  10. I'm amazed again how similar we are :) There have to be fruits or veggies in every single meal I'm eating and they're always the main ingredient :D

So I basically love any kind of fruit too. My favorites recently are apples, strawberries (we had them in our garden this year - delicious!), mango and blueberries. I've never tried a pomegranate though. Definitely need to do that some time soon!

    Drück Dich ganz fest :)

    1. That's how I eat too. I don't feel good when I don't have my fruits and veggies on a daily basis.

There's not a single fruit I don't like. Apples are awesome too, especially the ones you pick yourself. Haha. You should really try pomegranate, they are soooo delicious! But watch out for Spritzer on your shirt! :)

      Drück Dich!!

  11. Awe, I can't believe you had a cherry tree in your house! It must have been sooo cool to see it bloom and to pick cherries from it ;P. I really like cherries, too, but I rarely crave them. And I used to hate strawberries until I tried Californian ones. People couldn't believe I hated them, it's just that I don't like sour things. But they're incredibly sweet here in Cali and I've learned to love them :p.

    1. Yeah, it's pretty awesome to have a cherry tree! There are also apple and pear trees and a peach tree. Oh, and plums. When I was a kid we had strawberries and raspberries too.
Can't believe you hated strawberries. :))
