But with this chair
in front of this fireplace:
But now the most important part. I am not sure if everyone else in this world is dreaming of one of these but I MUST have one. A couple of years ago I saw one at a flea market but did not buy it. I still don't know why. It's kind of sad. It was perfect. I am dreaming of it since my childhood...I am not sure what that says about me because you use it to store alcohol. But anyway...this is it:
Isn't it fabulous?
So someday I need to have a library in the tower of my house with a fireplace, an old barock chair and a house bar that looks like a globe.

Yeah, I have more weird goals in my life.
What do you dream of?
ok i admit i am not a huge reader. do you have any book suggestions?? i love history stuff and tend to lean more non-fiction. i love curling up in a overstuffed chair with a fireplace is a great idea
ReplyDeleteoh, i have many suggestions. If you like funny books you should check out the Adrian Mole series by Sue Townsend. I have talked about it in my "Book club" post. I am a big fan of Skandinavian crime novels. My favorite writers are Henning Mankell, Hakan Nesser or Ake Edwardson. But also Arnaldur Indridason. He is from Iceland. My favorite historical book is "Die Päpstin". I think it is called "Pope Joan" in English. And I love to read all kinds of travel books.
DeleteYou both might find this 30 Days of Book challenge useful/fun: http://vanishaslife.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/30-days-of-books.html
DeleteThat sounds awesome. Thanks, Vanisha! I will have a look!
DeleteThat alcohol holder thing is perfect! I hope you come across another one soon. And I'd love that chair in my personal library too. Maybe in pink though ;)
ReplyDeleteIt would look awesome in pink too! :) And yeah, I really hope I can find one of these alcohol holders again. They can be really pricy.
DeleteHi, Katrin! Thank you so much for dropping by! :D I love libraries, too, that's why I volunteer in one here in Ontario, Cali. If you have some free time, maybe you can look into if they need volunteers in your local library, I volunteer in the book sale area and get to see amazing books and magazines that of course I buy before we put them up for sale, haha. We sell books for $1 or $2 and magazine for 25c or 5 for $1; and we occasionally have special sales where we let people fill a grocery bag with material for just a buck ;). It's a great way to buy your favorite books :p.
ReplyDeleteHope you've started your week off with a huge smile! ;D
Miki.
I could spend the whole day in libraries. :) And it is a great idea, I will ask in my local library! I am sure you can find so many great books before you put them up for sale. I am sure I would walk out with tons of books! That's definitely an amazing way to buy some great books!
DeleteHave a lovely day!
that chair! i cant get enough of that chair! xo
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am so in love with this chair! :D
DeleteThat chair looks comfy for reading! I like to read on big chairs like that with my feet up! It would go perfectly in a huge vintage looking library!
ReplyDeleteI think it is the perfect chair. :) Best place to spend hours and hours...:)
DeleteThank you for stopping by, Chiara! Your blog is lovely!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Katrin
