I love to cook. And to eat. A lot. So I thought it would be nice to share one of my favorite recipes with you. I got it from one of my best friends Julia. I have known her my whole life and she is an awesome cook! And person.
I have to admit that I don't use recipes most of the time. I just mix things that might taste good together.
But cooking is one of the things I like to do and that's why I want to share it with you.
I am talking about red lentil soup with coconut milk and chili.
And here is what you need (for a big pot).
2 cans of sliced tomatoes.
1 can of coconut milk
200 grams of red lentils
600 ml of vegetable stock
salt, pepper, chili, curry
( i always add lots of other spices but there is no rule)
First, you roast the garlic in a pan for a little bit.
Add the lentils and the vegetable stock and cook it for 20 minutes. The lentils should be done then.
Add the sliced tomatoes and cook it for a while. Add as many spices as you want. For me curry is very important because it is one of my favorite spices. But I also need lots of pepper. As a German you would add some Maggi.
So add add add spices until it is really spicy. It will lose some of its taste when you add the coconut milk. That's the next step.
And then it's ready to eat. Enjoy.
That's the Suppenkasper by the way. He never eats his soup.
What is your favorite recipe? Do you like to cook?
