Ten on Tuesday! A ghost. And Coffee & TV.

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

I am linking up with lovely Lin from Linny's Vault!

1. I am pretty tired today because I had a visitor last night. David woke me up around 1 am because he saw a man standing next to the bed. I mean, it was a dream and he immediately went back to bed after he turned on the light to see if somebody is there. Maybe it was a ghost. I don't know. I mean, I would not say that I believe in ghosts but you never know. It is possible. The guy next to the bed (my side of the bed for sure) was between 40 and 50 and wore glasses. I asked David if he looked friendly or angry but he couldn't see that. Maybe the guy will come and visit me again. I hope he is friendly. David said things like that happened to him before so I want to do some research and find out more about the topic. But yeah, I wasn't really able to fall back asleep after that because I looked for guys next to my bed every ten minutes. So I guess I will need some more coffee today.

2. I think it would be kind of cool to have a ghost. As long as he or she is friendly. I am sure the ghost could tell some fascinating stories. David doesn't think it was a ghost. Just a dream. But I am not sure. I think I would prefer a female ghost though. I don't know why.

3. My friend Kari at Life on Madison dedicated a post to me and German beer. She is such a sweetheart and absolutely made my day! Thank you, Kari!

4. I watched Game of Thrones yesterday and Joffrey made me so angry. He is such a pussy. I haven't read the books yet but I really hope he will die a very painful death soon. I am not sure what the most cruel way to die is...but I wish he will die like that.

Pfui, Joffrey! Pfui!

5. I watched the movie "Tschernobyl Diaries" on Sunday. I hoped it would surprise me but all the things I expected happened. Plus the characters were really really annoying. On our way home David and I made a list of the characters we hated most because it wasn't possible to make a list of people we like.

6. I sang Happy Birthday to Findus yesterday. I share my ice-cream with the cats. I talk to them. I tell my pets how great they are. I tell them how much I love them. I always say "awwww" when I see an animal, no matter if it is a cat, a pig, a cow or a giraffe. I am a crazy animal person and I like it.

7. I always buy pink toothbrushes.

8. I have a shark tooth that I found at the beach when I was 8 as a necklace. My godfather made it for me. I don't know how old that tooth is but it must be really really old.

9. I wish I could sing. My singing voice is terrible. And my handwriting.

10. I would like to be a ghost after my death. That would be really interesting, you could do so many things. I could stand at other people's beds at night. I would always try to look friendly. I promise. I don't want to scare people. (I guess.)

My song of the day is "Coffee & TV" by Blur. I love Blur and I love this song. And this is one of the best music videos EVER! I can't get enough of it. Isn't it lovely? (But yeah, the end is so sad!)

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

  1. Oh my goooooodness! How did YOU go back to sleep after that? Even if my hubs only had a dream of someone standing by the bed I would still be so terrified and I'd start making up scary images in my mind. AH!

    1. Hmm, I don't know. I started to listen to some plays for children on my ipod and tried to fall back asleep. But I woke up every 20 minutes or half an hour to see if the man next to my bed is back.

  2. I would be totally freaked out if that had happened to me last night! You're brave, girl!

What if you were a ghost and ran into somebody like Joffrey (not that I know YET what he did)...would you still be friendly or try to scare the heck out of him?

Im a "awwwww...it's so cute!" animal person, too :)

    Have a great day!

    1. Thank you! :)
Hmm, I am sure I would not be very friendly to Joffrey! He is such a mean king, he deserves a scary ghost!

I am glad I am not the only "awwww" person! :)

    2. Thank you for what...I hope I didnt say anything wrong :/

Ghosts can`t be friendly to everybody, but I`m sure no ghost would ever be mean to you! Anything else like that happen since?

    3. Thank you for saying that I am brave. :) I did not feel that brave. But no more ghosts since then!

  3. You're the very best. :)
I did have to stop watching Game of Thrones because of characters like Joffrey. Let me know how he dies--I hope too it's a tragic one!

Mmmm. I'm thirsty. Need another Bitburger NOW!

  4. Hello, I'm the hubby of the freaked out author. I've had these sorts of things happen to me all throughout my life. I've been absolutely certain there were spiders all over the wall, snakes in the bed, any number of things like that. It can be utterly terrifying at the time. Last night, I was sure there was a man standing next to the bed until I turned on the light. Then I knew what had happened. I've researched this before, though it's a little fuzzy in my head now, but as I recall, it's related to sleep paralysis, in which you awake while still in the REM cycle. So you are sort of dreaming while awake. It can be much more extreme than what I have experienced, and many ghost and alien abduction stories can be attributed to the phenomena. I have no doubt that these incidents will continue, and sooner or later, my wife will be more annoyed than scared. For me, while terrifying at the time, I sort of look forward to it, because, ultimately, it's entertaining. :)

  5. Anyone I know who has said they had ghosts in their house (three people so far) have mostly not had pleasant experiences. The man by the bed thing though does not sound like a ghost, especially as David says he's had similar things related to sleep paralysis. I have a friend who has had that and felt like someone was there and she did say that is very common to feel like a shadowy figure is in the room or the like. While I have never seen things during it, I have had it as well. For me, it usually happens if I fall asleep on my back, so I try never to do that. When it has happened I feel like I'm awake but have trouble breathing and can't sit up or speak. Once I am able to, I realize that's what it was.

As far as Game of Thrones, I haven't seen it since Season I but I didn't like that guy during it. I don't know what the worst way to die is, but the 'crown' Kal Drogo gave his wife's brother was a pretty wicked way to kill someone(although obviously they can't repeat that).

    1. That sounds really scary! It has never happened to me yet...You have to tell me more about your experiences, okay? And what happened to the people who said they had ghosts in their house? Not pleasant...uhh....

Yeah, that was a pretty bad way to die! I hope something similar will happen to Joffrey! (I am mean)

  6. Ahhh.... I'm so terrified of ghosts... if they're real. I haven' decided yet if they are. Who knows?!
And I wish my singing voice was better, too. Mike has such an amazing voice, so I always feel lame when he's singing and I'm not singing with him

    1. Yeah, I am not sure if they are real...Maybe that guy will come back and then I know. :)
Alyx, I have heard you singing and your voice is so beautiful! I wish I'd have your voice! :)

  7. I would not be sleeping after that!!! Good grief. Paranormal Activity freaked me out, horror movies usually don't but that one really bothered me for some reason. I couldn't watch the other ones. I think if I saw a ghost in my house I'd be pretty freaked out!

Since you mention you share your ice cream with your cats...what kind is it? Soy or almond milk? I always wondered about letting mine lick out the leftovers, whether almond milk products could be bad for them. I don't why it would hurt them, but I don't anyone else who eats the stuff to ask them! :P

    1. I have not seen Paranormal Activity yet. I am not sure if I will, definitely not alone. I am usually not scared because of horror movies but paranormal things can be a bit creepy. :)

I was not sure about that either. I usually have coconut milk ice-cream and the cats seem to love that. I don't give them much, just let them lick the bowl when it is empty because I don't want to give them too much sugar. I am not sure if almond or soy would be bad for them but Tiger once ate some tofu meat and he was fine. :) I am not an expert on this but I should definitely find out more about the topic. I don't really have anyone else to talk about stuff like that either. :)
