Sunday confessions! (+Tattva)

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

I am linking up with Alyx from Every day is a new adventure! Sunday confessions!

1. I bought 48 cans of Dr. Pepper yesterday. I am not sure if that's much for American standards but it is definitely a lot for German standards. I mean, I never had that much Dr. Pepper in my life. I like the feeling to have lots of pop stored for bad times. I also bought some new beer. It  is from Belgium and it is called Hoegaarden. It is pretty good but Bitburger is still the best beer in the world.

2. I thought about stealing a cat on Friday. David and I went to a Used Book Store (paradise for book lovers) and we bought 26 books and 2 magazines for 15 dollars. It was such an amazing feeling to walk out of a store with bags full of books. But yeah, the cat....he lives in the store and his name is Hemingway. He followed me the whole time and wanted me to pet him (what I did...that's another reason we spent hours in the store). He was so cute that I thought about grabbing him and running as fast as I can.

3. I can't watch movies in 3D. I get so sick when I try it, you can't even imagine. I don't know what's wrong  with me. I am not made for 3D. In October we went to a Haunted House in Columbus and they had a 3D section....I was so  terrified and I almost threw up. I still don't know how I made it out of there. Plus I am always the one who screams very loud at places like that. So I am the perfect victim.

4. I missed the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday and I am very sad about this. Nobody knows it is America but it is very popular in Europe and I usually watch it every year. It is not a contest that you can take seriously but it is very entertaining. These are the singers from Russia:

Aren't they lovely? They won second place! Sweden won. Congratulations! Germany is usually on the last place but this time we were 8th place. Not bad.

5. I always sing a happy birthday song to my pets and they always get some special treats. I want them to have a wonderful birthday too. Birthday is something not just for humans. My friend Barbara's cat  Sokrates always had to wear a party hat on her birthday. She did not mind.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday!

Here is the song of the day. Tattva by Kula Shaker. I love this band, they are more than just awesome. I have been to one of their concerts and it is an experience full of candles and incense sticks.

  1. Well, that totally explains why my Twitter feed blew up with conversations about Eurovision. LOL.

    1. Haha yeah. David never heard about it before so I had to explain him.

  2. My facebook was full of stuff about Eurovision, and i had no idea what it was all about. Now I know, I guess.
I think 48 is definitely a lot for US standards, too. Mike and I used to buy the 20 packs of Coke 0, and we'd go through 2 of those in a month... and I still think we drank a TON of pop. It's a really bad habit that we should probably break, but I don't really care.
    Thanks for linking up!! :)

    1. Haha, yeah...it is a really big thing in Europe!
I love drinking pop, I could drink it all day (I don't)...but it is nice to have some now. We got 48 for the price of 24 so it was a pretty good deal.

  3. Ha ha! My husband and I were checking out of Costco when he saw someone elses cart FULL of Dr Pepper! He pointed it out and told me how lucky that guy was.... that his wife must REALLY love him :) I never let us buy soda and bring it home, ha ha. I'm a mean wifey.

    1. Haha, that's so funny because I am always the one who wants to buy pop and David is against it. :)

  4. I hate 3D movies. It's stupid to me and adds nothing to the movie, so I'm totally with you.

  5. Oh my! That IS a lot of Dr Pepper - by my standards anyway ;) Isn't that great though, it's all relative so one can't really say! I was glad I managed to watch Eurovision for a little while, the bits I watched were beautiful! Wishing you a great week!

PS I tried adding you on Instagram but your photos still aren't loading on my feed....

    1. Yeah, it is a lot! I am sure it will last a while. :)

I was so sad that I missed the ESC! :((

Hmm, that is really strange. And sad. :( I mean, I don't have many pictures on Instagram yet but I hope we can figure it out!

  6. My husband loves Dr. Pepper and just bought 48 cans the other day. It's not uncommon for him to buy two 24 pks at a time. If you're going to use them eventually anyhow that's one trip you have to make for them instead of two. I've only been drinking two liters of Coke lately because those are the German ones. I found out the 24pks are from America when I got one without checking first which just confirms that there really is a difference because I could tell it tasted off before I looked at the case.

    1. In my opinion the Dr.Pepper you can get in France and Luxembourg tastes a lot better than the Dr.Pepper from Germany. I don't know what's the difference though. But yeah, we saved a lot of money, the 4 packs had the price of two packs.

  7. There's no such thing as too much Dr. Pepper!
